I'm gonna say, there is a mismatch on phase wires and halls It is confused so you are getting two phases fighting each other the minute you apply power... swap two power phases and see... my guesstimate! Darren

I build about 6 Mongoose Dolomite/Malus a year. All with BBSHD Bafang 120mm bb kit from Luna... to date not one has ever had a problem with motor. Battery and wheels issues but motors just go and go... 1500 watt programming.

Grin sells a nice 9mm 3x12awg + 7x24awg cable.. Also use teflon coated high voltage wire, not the silicone thick jacket stuff. I use 10 gauge AWM wire. rated 1000 volts 600 degree C

Have a customer bike that spun a few times and now the axle shafts are stripped badly. Bafang 750 watt geared rear hub... Anyone press out or remove and replace axle shafts in these?

Did you try to pedal and go The old bikes do not have throttle start Once pedal assist kicks in, then you can use throttle... I had same problem/non problem... LOL
