TSDZ2 EBike wireless standard (like Specialized Turbo Levo) - OpenSource

I just posted an alternative remote enclosure design https://opensourceebike.github.io/remote/alt1/build_remote1.html The 3d design https://queensu172.autodesk360.com/g/shares/SH919a0QTf3c32634dcf4e2d22b033423634 allows for the VLCD5 button remote to be used with it's connector, and the...

GOOD CATCH!!! I guess we got overly ambitious ion trying to save power.

Interesting..... I added this code to ensure that the send page 16 command gets an acknowledgement form the motor for the page16 command before proceeding. obviously when the acknowledgement fails it goes into a continuous loop and burns up power!! Good catch and sloppy coding on my part. It...

Unfortunately I have had some health issues that prevent me from riding. All I can do is bench testing for now. Is the battery draining when the nrf52840 is out of the enclosure? I would request that you please test on the bench so we can at least eliminate any enclosure related issues.

Yes, but we configure the nrc as gpio so they work as button input. I measure no increased power consumption on this pin compared to other gpios. I also see nothing on the nordic forum suggesting the use of these pins are an issue with power consumption. Have you found a power issue with this pin?

Yes, a problem like this is very frustrating. However, the good news is that there are only a few suspects left. One of these would be the cable connection. Measure the impedance disconnected to see if there is leakage. They have been known to fail.

I see no issue on the bench, it seems it has to be related to the enclosure. Is is possible that the board is shorting out to the battery through the insulating tape used on top of the battery?

Yes, we are all using the same compiled bootloader image when building the firmware.

Short answer: using the Nordic app to modify the Bluetooth characteristic. Longer answer: you only need 0x99 for setting the ANT ID to something other than 0 ( 0 pairs with any motor) For all other options I simpified the operation of the wireless remote to avoid the need to use the Nordic...

I would do the modification myself on your design, but oh, boy is your design complex! You are very talented with freecad; I just do not yet have the skills yet to do this mod.....

To to see what it would look like I designed a battery case with a CR2 battery, with a access hole for the brakes. I could make it smaller by using smaller button batteries at the expense of lifetime. I was motivated to do this as I really don't like the idea of having to dismantle the remote to...

Well, I see no problem with keeping a 2032, as it would be easy to change annually. (assuming the design has an access port)
