What is the maximum speed you would ride a fully rigid bike/moped?

I have done ~55 Mph on my road bike here many times back in the day on club rides in our local mountains on 17 pound rigid road bikes with 23mm tires. But you have to know the roads for the pavement condition and where the intersections/driveways are and have a good runout. Because emergency...

How to remove crankarm on ToSeven DM02? Seems stuck

"Stuck" is how these old style cranks stay on. Do you not have a standard square taper crank puller? Use a cheater pipe on the handle if you need more torque.

Bikeon, "cassette drive" torque sensing motor

This does seem better thought out than some others... looking at you Lightest... and the form factor and interface are remarkably clever. I might be inclined to pop one of these on my Lynskey gravel bike... only problems are the cost (hopefully that will come down some) and that I only have...

Bikeon, "cassette drive" torque sensing motor

Remember, Chalo is a big fan of down tube and thumb shifters while the rest of us are wasting our $ on STI and such. ;)

Bikeon, "cassette drive" torque sensing motor

Is it possible to make a smaller wheel setting (say 20" on a bike that has 29" wheels) to spoof the speed limit so you can ride over 20MPH actual without the phone being connected in real time?

Bikeon, "cassette drive" torque sensing motor

This is a very cool gadget. Are you planning to sell a version without the battery for customers who already have them? And by your post below I assume this won't work with 52v batteries? That's all I have. I also hate the phone requirement for full power. Not that I object to using an app...

Not sure about lube, but it might be a decent anti-seize compound.

And not just slow, but you'll get different answers from the same support contact on different days. They forget what they already told you, in spite of having an e-mail thread. There is no phone line to call where simple issues could be resolved in 2 minutes but instead have to wait for...

    'lightest.bike' 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

This is the most interesting part of all this, to me. I use EM3EV batteries and would love to see where they are taking them. I hope the UL ratings don't drive prices up too much.

    'lightest.bike' 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

LOL... getting a Lightest Bike mid drive is the e-bike equivalent of wearing a hair shirt and self flagellating. But I do enjoy reading most of this anyway.

    CYC PHOTON

Not really. Photon with 42t chainring can climb most any "normal" grades easily. Maybe not if you have 25% or more but that doesn't happen here or many places. For road or gravel rides without those super steep grades you need 42t... or more... to optimize speed on the flats and downs, else...

    CYC PHOTON

The ordering experience there is really good. They have that part down. But just hope you don't need tech support or returns/exchanges, unless maybe you can go there in person.

    CYC PHOTON

Yeah, the high price of the Photon, when it essentially rides about the same as TSDZ2 under pedal/torque sensor, can seem to be a bit much. As for your other observations I totally agree. It is a bit of a crap shoot and none of these is perfect. That's what makes it fun. ;) I believe you'll...

    CYC PHOTON

Hype? IDK. I have both a Photon and TSDZ2 (on OSF and with cooling mods) and they actually ride pretty similarly on torque sensor, but Photon has better looking hardware, for sure. The one performance differential is the throttle. TSDZ2 throttle is next to useless since it doesn't get full...
