Help understand diagnostic LED on eZee controller.

There was an issue with the wiring. I fixed it and the problem has continued .

Help understand diagnostic LED on eZee controller.

Found the manual - 5 flashes is a bad throttle.

Help understand diagnostic LED on eZee controller.

My bike (eZeebike iOmega) has been working really well but lately there is an interesting issue. Every once-in-awhile, the motor just stops working. Nothing I do (peddling or activating the throttle) helps, but after a couple of minutes it starts working again. The cycleanalyst shows good...

    ip65 eBrake Levers?

I disassembled the switch, cleaned the contacts and plunger with electrical contact cleaner, put dielectric grease on the contacts and put everything back together. It seems to have done the trick.

    ip65 eBrake Levers?

Even on really nice eBikes, the brake levers seem to be a pain point. The most common levers have a little push button inside that is far from waterproof. Living in the swamps of North Florida, humidity is my enemy and my brake lever switches fail after a couple of years of use. I have used...

PAS mode working oddly-geared hub motor - CA3.1

I can't seem to connect to the bike using the setup utility. Here are the readings from the PAS setup displays: Setup PAS Device - 4.96V - Basic - Note: The PtDt display doesn't change when I pedal the bike. PASD-> Sensor Type - Basic PAS PASD-> Poles - 12 Poles PASD-> Signal Type - 1 wire...

PAS mode working oddly-geared hub motor - CA3.1

I can't communicate with the CA from my laptop. The PAS setup information from the device display are a couple of responses down.

PAS mode working oddly-geared hub motor - CA3.1

I have an eZee cargo bike with a front geared hub motor. Awhile back, I replaced the led control box with a CA 3.1. I have been working with the setting and things keep getting better except for one thing. While the throttle works as expected, the PAS behaves oddly. When I up the PAS...

    Brake Lever Switch Failure

Fixed the issue - The 3rd pin in the Higo connector on the iOmega is apparently connected to something (maybe ground?) that confuses the controller when connected. It was a cut, solder, and shrink wrap job.

    Brake Lever Switch Failure

The TripWire arrived this morning and it's a really well made item. I'm gratified that the manufacture included the proper drill bit and not one but two screws so that you have an extra if you lose the first one. However, I have run into a problem. When I connect the TripWire to the Higo...

    Brake Lever Switch Failure

Thanks - both to the inventor and to Grin for distributing these. I just ordered one via Amazon. A no-cost extra is that they use the same HIGO connector as the eZee iOmega, so it should be an easy fix. On the negative side, I have a set of hall effect switches also on order. Hello eBay.

    Brake Lever Switch Failure

I ride an eZee iOmega cargo bike. It's an awesome ride, but lately I've run into some electrical problems. My left brake lever stopped signaling the CA when it's pulled. I took the lever apart and found that the electrical switch in the lever (it's a Five Star similar to the EbrakeWuxL sold...

    New guy with old? questions

OK - So after a steep learning curve regarding JST connectors, I've got the CA3 mostly working. I have flashed the new 3.1 firmware. I have three current issues for which advice would be very welcome. 1. When I power up the unit, there is a short (like 15 degree) rotation of the motor. 2...

    New guy with old? questions

Hi all - I'm David, currently in Florida. A few weeks ago, I bought a eZee i-omega cargo bike. It's pretty awesome and I was riding it almost every day. The one thing that I didn't like was the eZee display. It doesn't give much information, and the bright LED's are distracting when using...
