Direct Drive Vs Geared Hub at 48V possible replacement

discharge ratings: firstly find out what cells the battery uses, brand name; model/capacity per cell. then google for a datasheet on them. the discharge rating will be something like 2c or 3c etc. which simply means 2 or 3 times the storage capacity of the cell. eg. if your cells are 2200mah...

ebike battery wont turn on but will on charger

also, try measuring voltage readings off of the balance connector, leave the ground probe of your voltmeter on the black cable then move the live probe along each of the other pins. it should go up in equal gradients between each pin e.g a fully charged pack will read 4.2, 8.4, 12.6, etc. in...

have you tried disconnectng the sensor wires (smaller wires coming out of hub motor) and running it without them? it may remove the error if its not communicating with the hall sensors that they go to.

    Deathly Ebike Screech

hi; if the motor is geared then the sound is coming from the internal geared hub clutch system; it makes sense as it was wet so would wear out the grease quicker; just open up the hub motor and re-grease all the moving parts and the gears/cogs too :-). it may also be wearing out on the motor...

    V Power Batteries

weight would also be only 6.62KG for a 15s lithium 20AH battery but 15s might be pushing the controller to its limits for some...I use 13s and have built a boost battery for 14s but 15s; I think i should get a new controller before that lol... could also build a 40AH battery for around £500...

    V Power Batteries

cheaper to build a battery you can get a 20AH lithium battery capable of 52 amps continous and 104 AMPS peak using these in 5s4p configuration so you need 20 lol or maybe more! :-D...

    V Power Batteries

Also, forgot to mention that I use it after fixing it and it takes me around 10-15 miles on a 30mph ride and if slowing down can reach up to 30 miles range... I mounted it on a bike rack that connect to the rear forks and seat post. works perfectly! :-D

    V Power Batteries

this is true; but normally you wouldn't expect something that major and problematic to exist in a BRAND NEW battery; definitely making me check future batteries etc though lol. :D

    V Power Batteries

Just thought I would add my experience with VPower batteries bought on ebay. I bough mine and when it arrived put it on charge; al working fine excellent speedy charger at 6A for a 48V 20AH battery but when I tried to test in my e-bike it just didn't work. I checked the voltage and realized...
