Ahh actually maybe u have a very good point. Just checked closer and there are some melted wires near the motor so maybe that's the problem. Will try to replace them and see!

How did it go with that throttle? Does it literally connect to the battery positive wire? at the same time as the controller is connected to it also?

I just called up a few shops and they don't have it. They all seem to sell ready made bikes and not really selling bits like those. Been trying to look on ebay and Amazon for UK delivery but I can't find any for sale. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone! In the end I diy'd it instead of waiting for a cable to come through the post. Kind of annoying that bmsbattery didn't send everything, doesn't make me wanna buy from them again. I wired in a long enough cable with chocolate boxes so it can be relaxed. Probably not the best idea...
