I had the same problem.

There is a voltage divider at the input. If the solder joints are bad and add resistance or the resistors themselves are off or something else is wrong in this area you get strange voltages.
I figured it out since then.
The voltage dividers to sense the BEMF voltage didn't make proper connection. They are to be found at R23/24/26/2732/33
Might help somebody in the future?

Hello,
I got a VESC here which I made myself.
I can't get it to detect any motor and during the troubleshooting I found that one phase is siting much higher then the others.
The motor detection...
Nice one Onloop!
Here is my interpretation. I didn't feel like having the cling wrap on the top so I used some wooden rails to clamp it down.
Worlkflow was to route the board flat on the CNC router, then battery in and wrap it a few times.
Apply the rails and cut the top part of the wrap...
That is a great find! I didn't know that existed. That is wonderful for a custom controller.
This needs a return spring of some sort. IMHO The demonstrated technique in the video, with the button, doesn't satisfy my expectations of awesome.
I'm a big advocate of not just saying that is not...
I need a "naked" pic of it. I stacked it and the board hit a curb on an very awkward angle, the WIIciever got mangled up. I need to see what parts are in a few particular locations...
Anybody got pictures of the Nyko Kama receiver board unpacked, front and back?
If yes, please post them, it would help me a bunch!
@ austindavid
that did the trick, thank you.
Environmental interference is what I thought at one stage as well. I usually build things at my local hackspace.
I took it home, that's about 15km as the crow fly's. Same thing there.
I'm out of ideas, that is why I ask here.
torqueboards the wiiciever is sitting on top of the board above the front truck, motor is on rear truck. There is no possibility for further separation between receiver and motor/ESC.
A ferrite ring is in there too.
I just bench tested and run the wiiciever on a bench top power supply. No...
