2x Curtis 1231C Series motor drive

We've done some clean up lately and found brand new 1231C drives we forgot about. If anyone is interested in having these please let us know. The sale will fund our motorcycle project. We also found LMC (agni like) motors in poor shape. These might not be working but could maybe be useful to...

    214HP e-motorcycle built from scratch!

We finally received the EMRAX268 motor! Now we'll focus on fixing the EMI issues on the harness. The plan to do a few dyno runs in june and plan on running the bike on track in July. Cant't wait to make it run!

welding 18650 cells with DN-5 spot welder

Has anyone ever tried connecting the cells without welding them? Has anyone ever tried to disassemble welded cells? I mean, totally remove the tabs fro the cells

Konion Makita LiMn battery care and feeding by Doctorbass

The time we spend designing for the US18650V is not going to be wasted, as we are going to keep in mind that the cells could be swapped for LG or Samsung cells in the future. Modularity and standardization are key!

jonescg's NEW electric racebike BUILD thread!

Great bike! I love that you did your own chassis as well! Perhaps we can race together one of these days! Cheers mate!

It's just a general principle... Of course the copper conductors are not going to catch fire if dimensionned porperly... The cells are the problem. If you respect the current limit of your cells and cool your battery properly, it shouldn't catch fire. However to avoid thermal runnaway a proprer...

We run a 700V motor, thats how it is... Now, regarding the HV vs HA, there is another thread just on that topic. http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=67455

We have cosidered that issue and that is why we asked Doctorbass for help on cell matching ant testing. Anyways now, we are moving toward 18650s, Great folks! Great products! The electrical design is 100% safe and has more ways to make the bike not work than it has to make it run! On the other...

Hell yeah! Indeed! Thanks! We have about 3kWh right now, wich is enough to do the tests and debug the EMI but not enough to actally ride it in a race... But like I said, we are looking at a new design using cheaper, better, more available cells. The HK configuration is 162S3P The stock...

    214HP e-motorcycle built from scratch!

You are totally right, we have made some choices we have to live with from now on... Luckily for us these are not so bad ! The key issue right now is batteries. We are indeed moving towards better cells. That is equally true for the AC asynchronous motor and the Panasonic cells wich are not...

Even when these cells are given fo free? We could at least verify our design and have a decent battery pack to ride with this year... Perhaps not the best, but functionnal.

    214HP e-motorcycle built from scratch!

This is not a production bike. It is an insanely fast and nimble electric motorcycle. We have no plans of selling it. As you might know, electrical power equals to: P=V*I And Joules losses are given by: Pj=R*I^2 Hence, reducing the current to reduce losses and increase the voltage to...
