    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Question for SW102 users: for SW102 initial flash, is sw102-full-0.19.11.hex still the one to use before upgrading to 20.1C over Bluetooth?

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Excellent points Mctubster. Bosch actually did a respectable job of implementing this a few years ago by introducing eMTB mode on the CX motor. Previously it had assist levels of Eco, Tour, Sport, and Turbo. They essentially replaced Sport with eMTB which provides a wide range of assistance...

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Try E-MTB mode. It sounds like that is exactly what you are describing.

How To, 50A BBSHD Controller Mod

I am using PL to power more powerful lights that can take up to 60v without using a step-downconverter. I could run them directly off the battery but I had a bunch of cables made that pick power up near the bars to make it easy to add more powerful lights on conversions. PL has the same power...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

mbrusa already did an 850C version for v20.1C. I have tested it. It works great!

    TSDZ2 OSF for all displays, VLCD5-VLCD6-XH18, LCD3, 860C-850C-SW102.

Forgive the American expression but Mbrusa "hit it out of the ballpark" with this one. Jeffpagerides and I have been testing this for several weeks now and so far it exceeds our best hopes for the OSF firmware. Regarding low cadence performance, that was never an issue with Buba's v0.20...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Haha, yes perhaps you should have bought a BBSHD. I ride both for different reasons. I only run the TSDZ2 for short bursts above 500 watts for short hills or for a burst of speed in traffic. Those of us that ride and love the TSDZ2 tend to like the lighter weight, the torque sensing, and aren't...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

1T1 is if you only have a display. 1T2 adds throttle. 1T3 and 1T4 add one or two brake cutoff sensors. Alternately, you can do what most do, just cut the ones you don't use off of a 1T4 or ziptie them out of the way.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Jeff, regarding your reposted laundry list above. Casainho answered your (1) by telling you that the max battery current bug is being fixed by another developer and will be in a future release. If I understand correctly, Hughf answered your number (2) question by showing you that torque...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi Jeff, I am happy to do that for you. Casainho pointed me to where the defaults are located in the 860C code and I now have a Linux development environment set up so I can recompile the OSF firmware with different default settings. Just PM me the settings you want.

Thanks, Casainho! I was able to get it to compile under Linux so I am all set.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I downloaded the source and after some tinkering I got it to compile. However, there is no eeprom.h in TSDZ2-Smart-EBike-TSDZ2-v1.0.0 among the sources. What file do I edit to change the defaults in the compiled firmware?

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

If you get this figured out for windows can you please document it? I would like to compile a version with my own defaults. I flash a lot of TSDZ2 motors and configuring them after flashing them is laborious.

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Ok, got it. Having LCD3 in the title of the hex file made us think it was for the KT-LCD3. We will try it in the motor today. Thanks!

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

That cable that adapts a TSDZ2 that came with a stock 8-pin display like VLCD5/XH-18 to Bafang style 850C/SW102 displays without rewiring was custom designed and made for Electrify Bike Co. The product page on Electrify Bike web site has been updated to allow international shipping on that...

Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

@revher, I don't understand how the gear sensor can work with the speed sensor. The gear sensor simply closes an open circuit while the cable is moving. On a bafang this causes the motor to cut off for 800ms. If you hook it up to a brake sensor then it cuts the motor for closer to 2 seconds...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Nice to hear from you Buba! Thanks for checking in. Maybe now we can get 'beta1' out of the name of this awesome v0.20.0 firmware. :)

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

We used to be able to get the TSDZ2 coaster brake version of the in 48v but TongSheng will no longer sell it in that configuration. We now buy the 36v 350 watt with 8 pin cable and 850C display. The stock version works great with a 36v battery. With OSF you can also use 48v and 52v batteries...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Jeff, when we send hardware to an OSF engineer it is 'no strings attached'. There was never any commitment to support the 860C. It is just like any other request or suggestion that someone puts out on this forum. The engineers have busy lives and have their own priorities. If it happens...

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Awesome news to see the V20 code brought forward on stock displays. At one time I heard that the javascript config app also let you pick KT-LCD3 as the display. Is this still the case?

    TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

I think Buba just needs to know that his work is appreciated and there are a lot of us that would like to see it go forward. If you have not reached out to him by PM, please do.

I see. I am disappointed that you are not moving forward with v20. I can understand that you want to have a thread focused primarily on the problems and features that interest you. I am glad that this project interested you in the beginning or we would not have any of it. :) I think this is...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Yes, I am a little confused as well. We have been waiting a long time for 850C on v20. v20 is the main development branch with lots of amazing features and capabilities. So now we have v50 based on v19? Did I read some time back that this is just temporary to add the torque calibration...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Best to use the green higo female connector on the 850C as is. It is the same connector on the SW102. If you have an 8 pin male higo connector on your controller, you can get a harness that adapts the TSDZ2 8 pin male to either of those displays from Electrify Bike Co. It essentially adapts...
