Hall throttle issue, signal voltage too high?

Before attempting to program, I retested with the old throttle and then the new and had no issues.

Hall throttle issue, signal voltage too high?

Motor starts creeping upon powering on controller. Wires are correctly matched. Signal voltage with no throttle depressed is 0.85v. Throttle operates normally when depressed. It seems I need to lower the base signal voltage? How do I do that? Controller is a Kelly sine wave. Motor is large...

What type of motor for a mini dozer?

Thanks for your input. I will consider the flywheel issues. The motor does not have a heat issue. The problem occured within a few seconds of starting. The controller hit a stall situation. It's like riding your ebike at 10mph then applying the brakes hard down to a stop while continuing to...

What type of motor for a mini dozer?

Technically it's a Mars ME0201013101. Most of the conversion details for the tractor is here http://www.evalbum.com/5578 The walk behind has a solid axle, that's why I added the swivel caster to allow it to turn by applying weight on one side of the handlebar. I may have made a mistake with...

What type of motor for a mini dozer?

The machine I built is not actually a dozer, but a mini wheeled loader/walk behind tractor. I still need it to dig into the ground a bit to load the bucket or do light grading. I made a rear plow for it, in addition to a front dozer grader blade. It's a wacky mess, really an experiment. Single...

What type of motor for a mini dozer?

Yes, hydraulic system for traction is the other option. Though I rather not go that route yet. Of course the drawback is efficiency loss. But it works for high force/torque. The flywheel would put all it's energy into the drivetrain. That kinetic energy would balance the load requirements as I...

What type of motor for a mini dozer?

I'm looking for expert opinions on what type of motor system would be suited for an application where the motor and controller will see high current near 0 rpm. It will be geared for very low speed. This topic is not about gearing. Top speed is 3mph, but it will see speeds down to 0 at full...

    13s jst balance connectors

I need 10 male and 5 female 13s jst-xh balance connectors. Either bare or with wire. What's a good source for jst-xh. Mouser is not looking like they have it. I'm trying to put 5, 13s packs in parallel, using one bms. I could get by with any other small style 14 pin connector (5 of male and...

    Aerodynamics

This is long gone now, but it was an effective coroplast fairing I had built on my emoto conversion. I think it went from 70 to 50wh/mile in the 30-50mph range. Can't remember exactly anymore. Nowadays I just use my old ebike with no fairing since I sit on a normal seat and don't ride as fast...

DD Hub as a mid drive motor pros and cons?

by Chalo » Dec 27 2020 3:23am "If it were me, I'd make a plate with the 44mm 6 bolt pattern to fit the disc rotor interface, and a 74mm or 110mm 5 bolt pattern to fit any one of a number of chainrings. 74mm for rings under 34t, or 110mm for rings from 34t up. It would be easy enough to get it...

DD Hub as a mid drive motor pros and cons?

The problem with moto front sprockets is that the largest bore is 20mm and its splined. Drilling out the hardened steel is a challenge. Rear sprockets usually have a too large bore for the 44mm disc rotor hole diameter. So custom is probably the only option.

DD Hub as a mid drive motor pros and cons?

Is there an off the shelf sprocket that can mounted to the 6 bolt disc rotor holes? Or are the guys building these mid drives customizing motorcycle sprockets to fit on the hub side cover?

    New 80 volt push mowers

Has anyone got these batteries figured out? Mine was working fine I I think I reversed the connection to my mower and blew the fuse. I was able to replace the fuse and it shows 78v now but it won't charge. Charger light doesn't come on at all but the battery meter lights up as usual. Same result...

Does this look like electrical failure?

I want to prosecute her but yes, I'm more concerned about it affecting my ability to sell on eBay where I've been making some decent money. I've read numerous stories about eBay suspending accounts in similar situations. This criminal has a convincing story with elaborate detail and eBay may not...

Does this look like electrical failure?

Ebay. Before I looked closely at the wires, I believed her story enough to refund her. Then I realized it was BS. But I asked her to update her negative feedback and she did. I played her game and she won. But I getting ebay involved may not have necessarily gone well for me. I do plan on...

Does this look like electrical failure?

You wouldn't believe the elaborate story she concocted with so much detail. Its crazy. I did some research and she has a dog that is an aggressive chewer. That also explains why the paper sticker on the unit had some moisture damage (from dog saliva and cleaning attempt). And indentations from...

Does this look like electrical failure?

A customer returned this charger I sold them, claiming it overheated and melted the wires. I opened the case and it looks flawless inside. Is it me or do these wires look like they were cut? I just don't see melted insulation anywhere. This customer has said some conflicting things about how...

    Wholesale/distributors in the US?

I'm trying to find distributors (not retail sales) for small ev related parts. I've spent a lot of time searching online and I really can't find much other than retail, and of course buying directly from the manufacturer (which doesn't help my current situation). When I search wholesale...
