    Took bad fall shoulder dislocated.....

Visited with Orthopedic Surgeon shoulder specialist 3-weeks after accident. This is a 12-week healing process just to get to point I can start resistance training of atrophied upper body. Rehab going well, with passive range-of-motion shoulder exercises. No pain at all except if I lift arm from...

    Took bad fall shoulder dislocated.....

X-ray came back positive for "Acute nondisplaced fracture of greater tuberosity of the humerus". This explains type/cause/intensity of pain I have. Will see orthopedic surgeon in one week. He will probably x-ray again and prescribe MRI also. Two hour drive, so hoping follow-up consult can be...

    Took bad fall shoulder dislocated.....

Thanks for the feedback all. It looks like I'll leave the drop-bar bike hanging on the wall for at least a month. Etrike and Ebike at lease a month and will be reassessing how/where I ride. Fortunately I already have a nice routine figured out for maintaining fitness through cold months using...

    Took bad fall shoulder dislocated.....

The last time I went down over 2 years ago was because of hit/run incident with truck....this time it was totally my own stupid fault. I have a question about recovery times for others who have experienced this type of dislocation injury. I flipped trike during right hand turn and went into...

Bafang G062.1000.DC mods to run peak 6000w +regen

No mods with my g062 motor. Running stock at 1500w-ish for 2 hours sustained mostly on forest roads and trails. I toredown motor last month when I had 2200 miles to inspect. It looked like new. I am considering changing out stock phase wires and uppeimg my controller amps to 50a (currently...

    Woods Fat-E-Bike build log.

2000-mile update. Bike is performing as it did when I first built it. Battery capacity is around 90% capacity compared to new. Motor is performing flawlessly. Spokes have needed tightening on several occasions. Wheels rue up easily each time. Rear tire is showing a bit of wear.....I need to...

    LifP04 pack....48V 150AH. 6AH cells.

32650 LifP04 cells. New/Identical. Cells are not individually fused. Rated 6AH. Rated 1C continuous. Total capacity 8000WH. Non-grid-attached supplemental residence power. Solar charged via 2KW bank of panels (surplus 60 cell). MPPP "boosting" charge controller. Maximum 3KW sustained...

    LifP04 pack....48V 150AH. 6AH cells.

Simply taking SxP approach pack would work in theory which would result in a 16S25P arrangement. Gut says to instead build several smaller 16S modules (each fused) and hook those up in parallel to bus bars. Pack maximum sustained current is 75amps (1/2C). Short bursts 150A (1C). Thoughts?

Over volting bafang g062 to 72V

The motor was too fast "unloaded".....I needed high torque and low speed for pulling power (90% of my riding is off road or in loose sand forest roads). After bench testing using a PS, I ended up building a pack with more AH and lowered voltage. I am very happy with results for my particular...

Over volting bafang g062 to 72V

I use the same motor. Over 1500 HARD off-road miles. Initially I was going to run mine at 52V. I ended up having to DROP voltage to 44V! Motor spins too fast for a 26x4" fat-tire build. Controller maximum amps delivered to motor is 35 amps. Max speed is 32mph. For Moto-Calc, use 9.3Kv and...

Transporting heavy ebikes - show me your solution

Thanks for the suggestion. Noted. I would not use it for 500lbs. Both my ebikes come in at around 1/3 of carrier's maximum 500lb capacity. 1200 reviews, 3% are one-star. Of those not a single failure....complaints mostly quality control issues.

Have not completed it yet, but this is my setup: Using this 22x60" aluminum hitch carrier:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QKGS149/?coliid=I2MBVE3V61N0BN&colid=H89155HI0080&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Wheel chocks are bent #4 rebar. Center post is 2x2 steel bar. Uses tie down straps.

Tesla acquires maxwell - why Luke?

Headline: "Tesla sells Maxwell Technologies since it does not plan to use ultracapacitor technology" https://www.teslaoracle.com/2021/07/23/tesla-sells-maxwell-technologies-since-its-not-needed-anymore/ "Musk further explains that the secret ingredient to...

26 inch - 4" fat tire build for sand

Here is my solution.....I already built a 26" fat-tire woods&sand offroad Ebike for me. Wife wants in on the fun, so I built her a 24" Ebike for Florida forest jeep trails and fire roads (some are loose/deep sand) This 24" build hit all the marks for intended purpose. Hardtail frame (needed a...

    Building A Ludicrous 14s2p SPIM08hp battery

I got my introduction to cooler-weather performance the past two days. At 40-degrees, voltage sag is terrible! I had no idea. Cruise speed on my 12s1P build went from 28mph down to 24 on full pack. Hill performance even worse. No big deal, otherwise I love these cells! When warm...

    Found on FleaBay: Headway 38120HP

I bought 8 of these very cells in 2018 on Ebay. Seller was alarmhookup (Check your seller's store....its the same guy). In the end, 3 of 8 cells were unusable (over 25% under rated capacity and very high voltage sag under load). I ended up putting a 3S1P pack together and use it as a spare...

    Building A Ludicrous 14s2p SPIM08hp battery

I have these in two separate projects. 2018 I built a 3S3P pack for my E-Kayak. Still going strong. 2019 I built two 12S1P packs for a pair of E-Trikes. Also performing well. That said, WH density is not very good. PS: I live in Florida, so packs are pretty warm to start with.

Dial-in your cheap chinese controller&throttle....no more surging forward.

This is an old problem discussed in several threads as far back as 2010. Cheap speed controllers are "speed" throttled, not "torque" throttled, so when starting out, max-amps go into motor until target-RPM is reached. The specific problem I experience on last build: Bike would "lunge" forward...

    E-powered Inflatable Kayak Intex Explorer.

Note on operation of motor: Be sure to bench-run it after it has had time to dry. Water will corrode armature&brushes. When it sits for months of no use, armature&brushes may corrode to point motor will not work. Here is fix: Mount motor to bench. Connect battery and power up. Wont turn...
