Yuba Mundo V3.3 - is now Stoke Monkey ready : )

Hey Ryan, I apologize for the tardy reply - Everytime I have built one, dog gone it, someone has come and bought it, so I made one for myself that is not for sale and have been parking my Sprinter van. Further, I had to confer with Clever about selling the bracket, etc by themselves - but more...

Dewalt A123 BMS battery interface solution

Hello, There may already be a thread on this, but I haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know a safe testing process to determine the health of a dewalt battery? I am looking for a process that would not involve using kfong's adapter (to start). I am trying to determine if my batteries...

Dropout Failure Experiments, and a call for Fork Donations

Hey Justin, In your tests, have you applied any grease to the axle threads? In Bike Mechanic School (UBI), they taught us that greasing the threads can increase the fastening force by up to 40% while reducing friction-based torsional strain. I would love to see a few tests with something...

    ebike insurance

Unfortunately, this is not generally the case. Most home and renters policies have exclusions for motorized vehicles except wheelchairs. Read the fine print and the vast majority of policies exclude eBikes. Some will write a custom policy, but it will cost you.

Creating an E bike Market Explosion....

Lock, I have sold bikes to folks in retirement villas - and it came back to bite me hard. They crashed and then their children blamed me for selling to them (after asking me to custom make the bike over 6 weeks... I didn't want to make it for him) Customer then asked for a full refund for the...

Helmets Part 1,489,348 - To Wear Or Not To Wear

Sheriff Jon, You have a valid point. Car seats are a parallel case, in his book, Freakanomic, Duber and Levitt make the case that child car seats have shown no statistical improvement on injury levels and argue that prior to car seats, drivers were more cautious and so the injury level proved...

Creating an E bike Market Explosion....

Which bike repair stand for e-bike heavy weights?

Hey there, If you have a Double-Arm Park Repair Stand, I created an 'air-lift' that converts it to be able to lift up to 250 pounds for about $30 of hardware. I have not perfected the safety features and have launched the arm of my repair stand 2x (with no bikes in it thankfully). The video...
