Stark Future : Varg electric motocross 450

Ive been watching all the reviews from the moto world press that were invited to ride the pre-production bikes & review it.....Its amazing to see the grin on every riders face coming in after their 4 lap stint. So far the reception is better than i thought it would be....the bike is good out of...

Custom 80100 RC Drive on Genesis Swing-arm

yes, physically (into the direction your spinning the rotor). Easyest done with external hall set up. For internal placement, I started using "between the phase prs" for positioning & payed attention to rotation to have the advance going in the correct/desired direction. (if my math was right...

Custom 80100 RC Drive on Genesis Swing-arm

Dan, In my experience, my best overall setting for hall timing was between 3 & 5 degree's advanced from lowest amp draw unloaded. you will get some stutters at the extream load (starting from a dead stop) but this should wake the motor up from 1/3 speed to the top. Idealy these motors are...

Fitting freewheels to splined freehub drivers

whoa....those are free wheelers. sweet, but: " Will you please let me know if this freewheel is compatible ( fits)with the shimano freehub if not , what hub is this freewheel compatible with? Posted by Dario on 15/11/2015 Reply from TartyBikes on 16/11/2015" reply: "Hi Dario - This freewheel...

    Another 2-speed dogbox

That's some lovely modeling. free advice: You may want to add some "cush" to your design to help absorb the load spikes to the system. Are you thinking of a grease packed primary reduction? small gears are great for light loads, but do the math when scaling them to bicycle/light moped...

Burnt motor when setting my VESC controller

From a casual glance, I suspect the winding on that stator tooth as defective. or was damaged. Q?-has that motor ever run on any other controllers for a period of time? In an over-current event, I would expect to see more discoloring of all the windings involved. (that would be the adjacent...

Design for high powered freewheel sprocket for e-bikes

I am with recumpence on this one also, BMX chain is tough...& the 418 heavy duty (still bicycle) chain is tougher yet if you have any concerns. #35 is great if you need finer gearing choices, is less expensive than "premium" grade bicycle products, but you will be fabbing more "special" parts...

Design for high powered freewheel sprocket for e-bikes

Highly regarded....lol, (thanks) I could/should have been more clear, putting a freewheel on the driven end of the reduction introduces quite a bit of "play" in the drive set up... if you put the freewheel on the driving sprocket you will reduce the hammering on the pawls. & this is where a...

    Holy Exploding Tires Batman!

If that's a Skyway Wheel, they have limitations to max pressure. My 20" wheels have came with a sticker 60# max my older 24"s have it molded into the rim.

Another perfect example of no one reading the op..... Does any one here think the KTM in that video is anything other than weak sauce? on topic: JLdp1Kz0naI E-motocross is coming.....There is some incredible urban motocross potential if we could stifle the noise a good race bike makes. the KTM in this video is so close to being there (except in price)...not a frail bicycle conversion.....but really, still no match for a 12...

Moto, You are trying to mix oil & water.... I won't tell you to get a fat motor & battery for motocross performance....because I don't believe for a second that one solution is the final answer to every problem. What we need is a motor that delivers the minimum amount of torque required to...
