    hi Sava , yes there is a considerable lag which I find annoying. The lag occurs after the cut off speed is reached about 26kmh for mine and when the speed goes under that it takes a few seconds to re engage the motor.I really don't notice that much difference with the different levels of PAS...

    I think its obvious that ebikes are going to be treated the same as ICE motors (banned in Qld since 2007), but you still see them occasionally, in that if its obvious to authorities/governments that lots of ebike users are on bikes way over the legal power limits they will simply ban them all...

    The kit is what is legally we are allowed here in Australia ie max 250w, so I will work with it. There are bigger powered bikes on roads here, but in the case of any sort of incident liability comes into play.

    V2 elation here as well on a Giant Sedona , nearly 10,000km at 4 years with no major problems. battery has approx. 400 cycles .

    I have the same set up as u,an Elation kit, which for me has been a good one (6500km). While I dont know the source of the battery I know he used a 5C battery in these kits. Maybe if you openned it up you may find some branding

    I have just turned 3000km on my elation with about 120 recharges with the battery. So far so good , yesterday I did a 65km trip and the battery was close to empty but after a charge I measured it at 29.1v. No point getting a bigger battery unless you need the extra range and can justify carrying...

    Hi there I have just purchased a bike with the elation system . After lots of research decided this is the most efficient system available that is legal . Just love the bike. Have done a 50km ride with charge left. I'm using a200w and lifepo4 battery
