    Rocky Mountain ETSX70 Conversion

I recently had the pleasure of a battery fire that almost destroyed my bike. Fortunately, the battery came off the bike and I was able to pull the frame away. However, my Cycle Analyser got badly burned. The reason for this was the cheap BMS that was built into the Battery Pack, it probably...

    Rocky Mountain ETSX70 Conversion

Thank you, your downhill monster looks good as well. Yes the frame is aluminum, it's quite hard to find a decent frame these days, all these modern bikes have stupid low upper tubes where batteries wont fit. From time to time I'm having a look on the second hand market for good frames. I hope...

    foundingpower programmable bms

Ok, i did some testing. The bms doesn't work in the 12 s Configuration. The Power switch was soldered to the wrong pins. I hooked up a Power supply to the Ground and to the last Pin of the second Battery connector. Then I was able to connect through RS232. However the D52 gets very hot if I...

Hi Mucek, thanks for the reply i actually use the Software and Hardware that foundingpower (Eason) sent me. Please have a look how the Power switch is soldered, could that be the fault? Here is the documentation Eason sent me: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=52576157432389551035

    foundingpower programmable bms

Hi Folks, I have bought a LY.FS12Y.BMS quite a while ago. It's probably one of the first versions. This week I decided to give it a go. I followed the instructions to connect a 12s battery to test. First thing I noticed the small LCD didn't show anything, there is no switch for the LCD back...

    Why I don’t buy a Bosch midrive E-Bike.

there you go :D Yes I have to admit I must have misunderstood something he said. He still got wait 2 weeks or so. I can not understand what you wanna say. "Bionix is better than Bosch"? I wouldn't get a Bionix for the same reason. You can build perfectly legal reliable Pedelecs using parts...

    Why I don’t buy a Bosch midrive E-Bike.

Funny thing, yesterday a friend of mine who bought a nice Bosch driven Bike four months ago told me that his Battery pack gave up all ready. And it's exactly how I thought I would be. He had to bring it back to the shop for sending it back to Bosch Service. He now got to wait two weeks until he...

    Why I don’t buy a Bosch midrive E-Bike.

All German Pededlec forums are full of "uh it's against the law" waffle. That's why prefer ES. My Ping LiFePO4 batteries are still fully working after a several Years as well as my Crystalyte in every day use. My Point is that these proprietary E-Bikes are designed to last no longer than 2 Years...

    Why I don’t buy a Bosch midrive E-Bike.

Yes it's like buying Ink for your Printer which is more expensive than a new one. The whole Bosch system, you can't buy regularly, costs more than 1800 EUR. here I found a old price list. http://rower.com.pl/download/bosh%20ebike.pdf. Funny thing according to this Price list the Speed drive...

    Why I don’t buy a Bosch midrive E-Bike.

I really thought about buying a Bosch driven Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPA fully as a spare Bike. Seems like a reasonable package to a relatively good Price around $3200 in my country. The Bosch drive units are definitely a well tuned piece of German engineering. The motor can claim steep hills...

Yep, that's exactly what I got in mind. these large chain rings suck ass. at the moment I'm using only one gear cause the Derailleurs are frocked up too. Mr Shlumpf is a fellow-countryman I need to talk to him, maybe I can get a discount :)

my favourite question. how do you keep up with pedaling at 70 km/h and that gear ratio. Or have you built a motor cycle?

    Fully Touring E-Bike Build done!

sorry for the late reply ~56 kmh now using a 5304 for more torque never tried a geared motor but I don't think they're very durable. and they make a lot of noise. the new clytes are less heavy anyway the drag is immense. :D

    Fully Touring E-Bike Build done!

I don't know, maybe because it's expensive. the bike gets quite tail heavy if you use lots of batteries and rear hub. in the other hand these Panniers are the perfect camouflage, if you know what I mean. they don't even look at me. all through the frame did a good job so far.
