    Outrunner left side mid-drive conversion

i have an outrunner project waiting in the wings using a 6384 - 120kv (sensored) motor. i will be using 20inch wheels with a 10:1 single reduction. would a 36v 20a controller give me enough power? not looking to go fast, 20-25mph is fine.

    razor pocket rocket

Thanks guys, i think the potentiometer solution will be best, i know they will want to go faster but they still need to be safe while they get their confidence. C.D

    razor pocket rocket

yes its 24 volts with a 250 watt brushed motor, i dont think 12 volts alone will be enough for the controller? it is currently capable of 15mph, way to fast for small children. C.D

    razor pocket rocket

Hi All, i have aquired a razor pocket rocket for my granchildren but it is too fast for the youngest ones, any ideas as to how i can slow it down to around 5mph but speed it up again for the older ones? some sort of adjustable ohms pot im guessing? C.D

    raleigh chopper

i take your point on the safety of the left crank drive but i dont want to pedal the motor, maybe a duel freewheeling righthand crank would solve the problem. this bike is just for fun and does not need to be fast, should be a big hit with my grandchildren. C.D

    raleigh chopper

thinking of using the 350 watt unite geared motor on the lefthand crank with freewheel. (i like to pedal) should be good for power wheelies! C.D
