Sabvoton SVMC072150 controller review, variable regen *PICS*

Has anyone here hijacked this controller for more power, either taken one of the phase wire out of the blue square sensor or soldered extra wires at the phase wire source point on the circuit board connecting straight to the motor phases?

Anyone else here have a 96120 controller? Was wondering what battery max people are using on this controller 22s, 23s or 24s.

Can any Sabvoton user/experts answer this?

The 96120 controller can run 24s but both motor and controller gets hot fast, I’m at 23s at the moment and it’s cool/warm and is acceptable but my guess is 22s would be the best for 96120 controller. I haven’t tested 24s on the 72200 version my guess is it would run hot stay with 21s I’d say.

    Anyone using a Sabvoton 96V120A controller? SVMC96120

I’m currently running a 24s battery on a 96120 controller and have noticed it runs cool until regen kicks in then things start to heat up, was wondering if removing 2cells and running it of 22s would fix the problem?

Battery building best practices? 18650 packs

Just go for it and learn as you go, get some dead cells from some where (old laptops or power tools) and practice on them, my two cents is this get a really hot soldering iron 300w one from eBay or aliexpress and use that don’t spotweld unless you have a really good one, spotwelding is a good...
