    LIQUIDATION SALE! UNUSED 48V 10.5Ah 30A battery pack - $65

Would one of these batteries be suitable for a BBSHD build? Mine is set to draw 30A max, would that trip the 30A bms on this battery or would it be okay?

Cutting a bike frame so BBSHD can fit higher up?

Thanks for the input everyone who replied, yeah I think I'm going to scrap the idea and save up for a Bafang ultra build.

Cutting a bike frame so BBSHD can fit higher up?

I love everything about the BBSHD except for how much it hangs down below the bottom bracket. I'm constantly having clearance issues where I can't ride over logs and rocks without banging on the BBSHD shell. It's gotten so bad that I'm considering major modifications to my bike just to get...

DIY Fix for BBS02/BBSHD Pedal/Throttle Issue

I was wondering if anyone could help with my issue. I ordered a BBSHD from Luna this month, and I think I might have the throttle issue described in this thread. I ordered mine with the "universal thumb throttle." My issue is this: under any PAS setting, the throttle only operates at either 0%...

How To, 50A BBSHD Controller Mod

Has anyone bought SMD resistors for this mod recently? Where did you buy them from? I found this 5 mOhms from the video: Mouser #: 588-PCS2512FR0050ET https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjAZ9ix7tp0&feature=youtu.be For the 3 mOhms part is this correct? Mouser #: 71-WSLF25123L000FEA Another...

    Kona Coiler 6kW

Very nice build. I also have a Coiler, running 3kw with a 1500W Edge motor in a 17" moped rim, 3.00" tire. My build isn't as clean looking as yours, however. The rear tire is so small I had to change the bike geometry by raising where the rear shock mounts to the frame (see pic). What was your...

Are these cheap "sinewave" controllers really sinewave or just simulated?

I have that controller, it feels like a square-wave at startup (you can feel/hear a slight vibration in your bike coming from the motor) but after the first 10 feet or so it gets smooth/silent and feels like a sinewave. I also have a PowerVelocity controller (seller on these forums) which is a...

I've been monitoring the thread for a bit now, great stuff. I feel like you're on the edge of a breakthrough for DIY pack builders.

    A low-cost e-MTB Production log

The front wheel looks like it might hit the battery box under full compression. Also, doesn't the bottom bracket height look a little low? Otherwise, great looking ride.

Qulbix Q76R Frame Kits & Complete Bikes PRE-ORDER

I read through most of the thread but didn't see anyone post measurements of the frame. What are the inner dimensions of the Q76R frame?

    Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Engate, very nice. You should post that in the Qulbix general thread since it's probably compatible on all Qulbix frames.

    surron bicycle with qs205 middrive

Looks sweet, the pedals and motor look a little close to the ground tho. Do you mind sharing the alibaba link to the frame you bought?

    Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

This is probably my dream ebike frame, I need to move to mid mount but the noise and complication with setup like dealing with chains, rings, and different controllers makes it difficult. Even with a hub motor weighing just 16 lbs in the rear wheel, you can really feel it bogging down the rear...

Accidentally left Cycle Analyst on overnight, drained my batteries to death?

I understand now, I guess that is the risk of running without a bms. Not a huge loss on my end, just around $120 worth of batteries. Lesson learned I suppose. Idea: would it be possible to wire the controller ignition wire to a CA3 so that it can switch the ignition off when you reach the...

Accidentally left Cycle Analyst on overnight, drained my batteries to death?

Here's the situation: I rode my ebike over the weekend, used about 75% of the battery and then stored the bike away, but i forgot to unplug my battery / turn off the ignition to the controller, which left the Cycle Analyst screen on. When I checked the bike about 24 hours later, the screen was...

Carbon Fiber e bike with Bafang M 600 mid installed with throttle

I like the idea of the frame you just posted, It's probably a better idea to find a frame with the battery inside the triangle, not mounted inside the frame tube. This would open up a lot of different battery options for us DIYers. Following this thread with interest.

Specialized Epic Expert FS Frame for HD1000

I don't think the bbshd can be mounted inside a triangle without a bit of modification. I think it could be done on certain frames by grinding away the frame tubes in the triangle near the BB just enough so the motor can fit, then reinforcing that part of the triangle with metal plates. Or do...

Definitive Tests on the Heating and Cooling of Hub Motors

I think I am gonna skip the screen/mesh altogether after thinking about it, it's really hard for rocks/debris to even get into the motor anyway and it's almost impossible to keep out dust or small particles that can gum up the ferrofluid since my motor is already vented. Thanks for the info.

Definitive Tests on the Heating and Cooling of Hub Motors

I'm experimenting with adding ferrofluid to a vented/varnished hub. My goal is to add a mesh/screen over the holes, I mostly ride offroad so my concern is dirt getting into the motor and gumming up the ferrofluid. 1st pic below is my swiss cheese hub motor and 2nd pic is the proposed screen...

Recommended charger for 12s, 4.1 per cell (49.2V)?

    Help with variable voltage Charger

Hey sorry to resurrect an old thread, but how much were you able to adjust the final voltage? I am looking to buy a similar charger, based on the pictures you posted it's identical inside and out. Say I wanted to charge both 12s and 16s lipo by adjusting VR2, would I be able to use a 12s...

Recommended charger for 12s, 4.1 per cell (49.2V)?

I'm looking for a charger for my 12s 48V 10Ah battery pack. I only want to charge to 4.1v per cell for better longevity, so 49.2V final voltage. Anyone know of a charger like this, or one I could modify to get the voltage I need? It's a lipo pack so I wouldn't mind higher charge rates, 5A or...

Carbon Fiber e bike with Bafang M 600 mid installed with throttle

Isn't the bafang ultra model number G510? Which model motor is the M600? I'm also looking for a frame for the bafang ultra that I can DIY build.
