    but are you using the same battery? also in the controller there`s a white multi-plug that in my HD was not properly pushed home, gave the same problem as yours, but check with a different battery if poss.

    BBSHD creaking noises under load

    Pull the final drive cover off and check there`s plenty of grease on the cogs, an HD shouldn`t be noisy.

    Is there a lights connector with permanent power, since the new EU regulation 168/2013 (type approval ) requires permanent light? And, is there a way to connect/implement "a brake light that lights up as soon as you start braking”? Isn`t that for motorcycles not ebikes??

    Yes Sean this is something where there is a massive market, much more than mountain-biking, i`m surprised Frey haven`t developed the AM1000 frame for a road `comfort bike` as you suggest. Probably the frame would remain the same with the option of different wheels/tyres, handlebars, fenders...

    In a word NO!! Why don`t they say what cells are they using, is it because they`re of the cheap chinese variety? This is the most important thing. Make sure they`re Panasonic, Samsung, Sanyo etc, not copies. As you`re also in the UK you`d be better asking the question in www.pedelecs.co.uk...

    Left pedal crank arm loosening on the BBS02/HD versions was also an issue. Were they already fitted or did you fit yourself? To tighten properly use Loctite or similar threadlock along with a large Allen key and stand on the end of it to get enough torque! Anyway should be an easy fix when...

    I hope you weren`t being serious here --> Edit: Okay guys, forget it. I cleaned the whole bike under the shower and no it works. water and motors/cabling etc do not mix! you`ll get a controller in the UK ok go to pedelecs.co.uk and someone in there will help.

    LVC Problem? with BBS02

    I have the same set-up as yourself, but as Dan suggests you should leave the charger on to balance the cells. My 13aH 48v battery comes off the charger reading 54v. After 12 miles it will sag down to approx 46v on the display at times but your`s shouldn`t cut out. Could well be some of the cells...
