Yeah my kreidler florett from 1968 has those too. (50 years old!!, how is that for product sustainability)

    E moped prototype

E bikes/mopeds do often look like either a stealth bomber (EDGES EVERYWHERE), a fridge (white plastic everywhere!), a bicycle with stuff slapped on (so many wires and bags!), or do the retro thing just for style (Beach cruiser with harley davidson styling, but still no rear suspension, or front...

Too chrome for my taste, but thinking about maybe slapping on some denfeld (functional and no BS) ones in the distant future, first some other areas need my attention (LOGO!!!)

I would like to think it is because I built it from the ground up, rater then take an existing bike or moped frame. Well I'm hoping to produce in some future (or lala land, who is to say) Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot.

So; a question, I am undecided about the style of fork I would like to put on it, it should be a simple one, I am torn between a regular 26" no nonsense mtb suspension fork, a springer or possibly build a suspension fork myself. -I think a regular mtb fork is simple, technically refined and...

Great thanks man! The philosophy behind the build was "K.I.S.S." and form follows function. Yep, 2 in fact 21mm outside diameter 12mm inside diameter, 800n load a piece. However I might replace them with some solid bronze.

That is why all the connectors are in the "tank", which does not show very well because of the wires still need to be tidied up :)

Speed should be around 45 to 49 kph, to keep it legal. The phaserunner is recommended to stay outside for cooling, so probably no cover. There is no nice way to mount a good classic fender on this fork, (plus this fork is a bit lightweight) so next up will be probably a springer fork, with front...

Prototype E moped in action for the first time.

I think this would actually be more appropriate here. Coming from this topic: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=96971 This is the first flight of my still very much WIP e moped prototype. Did not take it to full speed yet, will post more pictures videos if there are any...

Thanks, for the reply! 50cc equivalent motor setup help.

I now have a 140a 50v boat battery automatic fuse, water resistant, which is a bonus. Have been working on the frame and battery compartment a little more. This compartment forms the 3rd leg of the frame main triangle, more attachment points to the frame will be added. Pictures:

    50cc equivalent motor setup help.

finally having some components to build my motor setup I have a few questions remaining: I currently have a battery: 48v 10p 13s built out of panasonic batteries pack 33.5Ah, maximum continuous drain 67A The bms on this should do 90A my Kelly Kls-s controller has limit of 300a, My Crystalyte...

    50cc equivalent motor setup help.

After some considerable time on the internet.. and on this forum. i've decided to shop local and new, so it is tax deductible for me. The best options locally are a magic pie 5 1000w rear motor, laced in a 26" wheel...

    50cc equivalent motor setup help.

Battery placement will not be a problem, since I plan on building my own frame, this project for me is all about exploring the possibilities and limits of building my own moped, meijsmotorman has successfully got a relatively small production of retro mopeds through the dutch/eu law swamp, since...

    50cc equivalent motor setup help.

thank you both for all the insightful information, I'm taking it all in ;) Dutch (the netherlands, holland if you must) law states that an electric moped (45kmh speed limit with a 5km overhead, so legally absolute maximum 50kmh) can have an electric motor with a nominal maximum continuous power...

Hi, my first post and fist steps in to the world of ebike/moped-ing. Forgive my ignorance and that did not sieve through the whole forum for double posts, a whole forum of information can be intimidating when you take your first steps in it. As a european/dutch citizen, I have been very...
