Controllers and ebrakes that would do progressive regen

Hi, I am currently using the cut-off ebrakes from em3ev on an infineon 12fet and MXUS 3000 ebike. Are there any ebrakes/controllers on the market that would allow for progressive regen. The more you press the brakes the more regen you obtain? Thank you for your help!

Decrease ebrake strength Infineon MXUS 3k

Hi, I just installed an infineon 3 12fet with an MXUS 3k on my ebike and connected the ebrakes for the first time today. At high speeds the braking is very violent and sudden, is there anyway to smooth it out? Thank you!

Infineon controller and MXUS regen hall sensor disturbance

Thanks amberwolf, you are right, it was noise! I tried using a RC filter but it wasn't good enough so I'm using a sampling filter on the digital input of my MCU which is now doing the job fine!

Infineon controller and MXUS regen hall sensor disturbance

I will produce a diagram but the setup is very classic. 14S battery plugged to an INFINEON 12fet controller which is connected to a throttle, ebrakes, phase motor wires and a main power switch. I am taking the digital motor hall sensor signal out of the cycle analyst plug of the controller and...

Infineon controller and MXUS regen hall sensor disturbance

Hi Guys, I have deactivated slip regen and am now having it only on the brakes. I am using the digital signal from the hall sensors on the cycle analyst plug to feed a MCU which then estimates velocity based on the time period between each pulse. However, for some reason, every time I brake and...

    MXUS braking when coasting

Hi Guys, I have just installed a MXUS 3k motor on my ebike with and INFINEON 12fet controller. I haven't plugged it for regen breaking and Im still waiting to receive ebrakes, so I'm just using normal brakes now. When I'm driving and I release the throttle and go into coasting I sometime...

    MXUS Hall sensor as speedometer

Thank you for your answer! I'm trying to do my own analyst with an Arduino! So what you mean is I can take only one hall sensor and it will activate/deactivate 23 times in one revolution?

    MXUS Hall sensor as speedometer

Hi Guys, Just got a MXUS 3000 and want to program a speedometer to work with it. I'm wondering how do this motor's hall sensors work, in which sequence and how many activations per rotations? Thank you for your help!

MAC motor slips but apparently in good condition

Thank you very much for all your answers. I just did a few tests and I think it is the clutch. However, this just outlined the problem that I was overpowering the MAC. I am lookins at the MXUS 3000 and it seems very interesting. What controller can I use plug and play with it between 40 and 60A...

MAC motor slips but apparently in good condition

Regarding that I have only been using it three months and will need at least this kind of power. What other motor would be suitable for 2 to 3kW without ever having to worry about it breaking down for normal city road use. I have just seen the Crystalyte crown motor but these seem complicated to...

MAC motor slips but apparently in good condition

Hi Guys, 2 days ago I was riding my ebike which is equipped with a MAC Motor, 40A Infineon controller and 58V battery. When inputting a throttle signal while at zero velocity, I felt a bang in the back wheel and the motor did not go. I went on the side, raised the back wheel to allow it to...

Infineon controller 5A from cycle analyst plug

Hi Guys, I am trying to build my ebike and its control system entirely from scratch. I am using a 58V (when fully charged) battery to power a MAC motor through a 12FET Infineon controller. I am going to need to draw about 5A from the battery which I step down to a 12V bus (lights, etc) and a 5V...

Throttle gives out too much ref voltage and doesn't go high

Oh thank you! The hall sensor is probably broken, I will buy a new throttle!

Throttle gives out too much ref voltage and doesn't go high

Hi Guys, I just got a problem out of nowhere on my ebike. The throttle output voltage is suddenly at 2.2V instead of 0.8V at zero user input. SImilarly, it only goes up to 3.3V instead of 3.6 upon user input. What could this be due to and how can I solve it? Thanks you for your help!

Infineon controller stopped reacting to throttle input.

Sorted it out if someone has a similar problem: there was a fault in the ebrake system which activated randomly and cutoff the power to the motor.

Infineon controller stopped reacting to throttle input.

As soon as I went for a ride after my last message, although everything was working perfectly under no load (raising the back wheel), after 10 meters of accelerating, same thing the motor just stopped responding to throttle inputs...

Infineon controller stopped reacting to throttle input.

I literally just opened the controller, measured a few voltages, put it back together and it worked again. No idea why! If anyone has a clue so I could understand it would be very helpful!

Infineon controller stopped reacting to throttle input.

Hi Guys, I have an Infineon 40A 12fet controller, a 14s battery and a MAC Motor. Yesterday I plugged and unplugged the throttle pin from the controller in the adaptor/connector to play with my arduino and check some throttle control loops. I then went back to the original configuration and...

12fet IRFB3077 Infineon Controller and microcontroller

Hey Guys, I just bought this speedometer: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/152025948123?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT. As you can see it comes with three wires, a blue, a black and a brown one. I've been trying to conenct it to my bike and arduino but haven't found any...

12fet IRFB3077 Infineon Controller and microcontroller

Hi Guys, I am working on an e-bike project which uses a 70V battery, a 12fet Infineon controller as well as a MAC motor. I sent throttle commands directly to the ESC through the Cycle Analyst throttle override pinUse using the arduino analog PWM output but the motor was responding with rapid...

12fet IRFB3077 Infineon Controller and microcontroller

Ok thank you, I actually measured a voltage of 4.4V but the Arduino still worked fine on it. I'm just a bit worried about the maximum current I can draw on the throttle signal as I will need about 3A.

12fet IRFB3077 Infineon Controller and microcontroller

Hy Guys, Instead of using complex regulators to step down a 68V battery voltage to 5V in order to operate an arduino, I actually tried using the 5V to the throttle in parallel which actually worked pretty well. I just wanted to know if this was a bad idea and what are the potential repercussions...

12fet IRFB3077 Infineon Controller and microcontroller

Hi Guys, So right now I've got a battery going through an Infineon controller which gives me the current output through a shunt and battery voltage. I want to know my battery State of Charge. In order to do so, I am planning to firstly, count the amps outputted by the battery in Ah through a...

12fet IRFB3077 Infineon Controller and microcontroller

Thank you very much for this, super clear!! Where could I find some of these torque controlled controllers because the INFINEON ones seem to be the only one I identified for these kind of powers.
