Crystalyte SAW and MSOFP16 geared motor questions

:) eep.. sorry for late reply. for some reason my endlesssphere notification e-mails were going to spam. @madrhino, thanks for the response. i've actually taken it in the opposite direction now.. bringing it down to 200-250w to maximise my battery life as i've taken to exploring the country...

Crystalyte SAW and MSOFP16 geared motor questions

Hello... I have the Crystalyte SAW brompton motor kit. I live in London at present (with lots of steep and long hills) and am curious about the geared option now having schlepped my DD-laden brompton on/off the tube a handful of times now. (I have a big honking 24ah EM3EV battery as well). I use...

My experience with "leafbike" electric bike kit

i know this post is a bit long in the tooth.. that said, is there a controller you'd recommend for their 1500W motor that supports variable regen (intent is to save on brake wear) and would pair well with a 54v 20ah battery? -robin

    eggrider compatibility w/ leafmotor controllers?

hm.. know any good references for tektro brake-hose matching? i tried this before with a tektro set and couldn't find right spec hose to match it (hence the rear brake on my bike is a normal mechanical ebrake). i still have the tektro bleed kit so would be interested in trying this out :)...

Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

(really late reply... i know.. ) the downtube folder worked pretty well for the last 7 months commuting. also had a bit of paranoia that the folding mechanism and perhaps steering stem might fail at speed, but the suspension really helped soften any sudden jolts from the road/etc. that said...

Moving conversion kit to new bike.. issues

Thanks for tip. Found similar part on amazon. Fingers crossed! Took it for a ride with dogs sans power other day. Rides smooth for a bicycle at least! (I do need to tweak derailleur though zzz).

Moving conversion kit to new bike.. issues

I'm moving my leafmotor conversion kit (1500w, 20", PAS and ebrake only) to new bicycle. This is a journal of things that are in my way and how I'm getting through them. Mostly, kit has been rock solid. Changing over to new bike because I am paranoid of the folding mechanism on other bike...

Mac 6T 20" wheel, 40 amp controller.. good idea?

Edit...oops, didn't realise this thread was so old. I'm considering doing this same things except with a DD hub (ie leaf motor, 1500w) for the regen and ebrake. Anyone have experience or issues with their full conversion kits (can the controller take a 52v ...40 amps continuous?) Or should I...

Comparing DIY vs Commercial E-Bike options for my 1st Ebike

Hello... Was curious if there was a sine wave controller you'd recommend for the leaf motor? ebike performance in 110-150 degree and 80%+ humidity?

curious what performance concerns there would be with operating and maintaining an ebike (dd or geared) in both an extremely humid and hot atmosphere? I recall that rain isn't so much a problem for hub motors as is the temperature differential wicking in moisture into the hub... if everything...
