    ok, new schematic is confirmed working so far. the led lights in the back are a bit dimm, but the regen braking works and the lights turn on when i pull the brake lever! any input or suggestions would be appreciated!

    one other thing that i really want to point out here is that there is 2 separate grounds. one goes to the controller to complete the regen braking loop, the other goes to the battery.
