    Toyota MGR first test

This is such a cool thread! I found it looking for controller options for a free MGR I just picked up. Might be a while before I’m able to get it put in my Corvair conversion, but when I do, I’ll be ordering boards from you and building one,( unless you start offering a ready built controller)...

    Leaf blower speed controller-Help!

I have a couple of RC speed controllers, but they are only rated to 6s, and I don't know how to control the speed without using an RC receiver and transmitter. A Brushless ebike controller would work if I could find a compact one, I'll keep searching...

    Leaf blower speed controller-Help!

Hey gang, I bought an Ego backpack leaf blower super cheap because it was dead after the owner blew snow with it. I took it apart today and hooked up the brushless motor to an RC speed control and the motor works fine, the main trigger switch works and the speed control reads between 7k and 9k...

    Toyota Pick Up conversion !

I did a little digging, and it looks like there were several different combinations for transmissions and transfers between 1985 and 1990 behind the 22r and 3vz engines, if your friend has the W55 or W56 trans, they used that most often and looks like the beefier transmission. There are a...

    Toyota Pick Up conversion !

The 22R redlines @ about 5500 rpm, i wouldn't worry too much about the driveline rpm, it will take 7000 no problem, and the driveline should take the torque ok as well, I think they used the same tranny behind the 3.0L V6,but I'll have to check my books.

    Toyota Pick Up conversion !

Happy New Year! 95 hp might be a bit generous for the 22R, even though the truck is pretty light, I can only manage about 140km/h top speed in mine, and that's with a tailwind. Uphills and into a headwind, it's brutally anemic. Twin AC motors would definately be an improvement. If you need...

    Toyota Pick Up conversion !

I have a 1983 Toyota 4x4 that I've thought of converting as well, so I'm curious to see how yours turns out. Check with the guys at electricautosport.com or Randy at canev.com to see what they would recommend for a motor, I think they both deal with Netgain and some AC drive systems. Sounds to...

Oops, threw an extra 'i' in there, thanks for the correction. I haven't tried their motorcycle kits, but I can tell you the MTB version is awesome!

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

Christini AWD bikes (www.chrisitni.com) has a great solution for that, a mechanical drive up to the front fork, through 2 counter-rotating shafts down the fork legs to hypoid gears on the front hub. I have one of their mountain bikes, and it works great, and very light and efficient. Anyway, I...

    Motorcycle class Hub Motor

I might be interested in this motor for my DR125 conversion, since I'm quite disappointed in the performance of the motor I have in there now. It might have similar swingarm spacing to the drz350 that Jay64 mentioned. I'm also interested in converting my VF500 interceptor, but I'd want more...

Even Newer 4 to 24-cell Battery Management System (BMS)

I'm happy with just the board and parts list, I think it would be a great learning experience to build my own. I'll be using it for 12 TS cells, so I'll have to experiment to find the right components to get the 4.25V cutoff. I'll probably order a few boards, in case I screw up the first one...
