New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi all, Have already done few k km on my amazing tsdz2 however today made a battery extension cord so that I can leave it in backpack and messed up polarity  . When I corrected the polarity LCD came up, but shows 650w and there is no power to the motor. Is there any chance that it is an...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

For me 18 beta cruise was working flawlessly, I never did the speed preset though. Didn't use too much because it was too cold to go without pedalling :) And the implementation of walk assist is really good as well, I am just thinking of putting parallel switch to down button to enable holding...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I managed to install 18 beta as well. For me the headache was is not clearing rom with option byte (had a strange issue when numbers in lower lcd3 row did not appear and when button is pressed the main kmh just blinked), other than that everything works as expected. Tomorrow will do a field test...

Buba, if meanwhile we can test whole buch of code, feel free to share source or hex :) :bigthumb:

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

If I would go mountainbiking I would put a jetski style kill switch, you can get even reed (magnetic) switch and some piece of metal to attach your magnet. The greatness of open source is in letting people to choose on their own responsibility what they want and what not. I like the idea a lot...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I agree that both cruise and walk assist like that would be perfect implementation. I think then the firmware would have everything I want :) :thumb: Thanks for the development and let us know when we can test the firmwares :)

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

There are no issues using 48v battery using both firmwares, original or opensource. For original you'll have to change some bits using st-link, for opensource you can just choose tha correct voltage on the display. I am using 12S, however I think it should be fine with 13S as well.

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I have LCD3 but I was reffering not to the current consumption/pedalling power in watts, but watt hours of your pedalling - e.g. If I pedalled 2h with an average of 200w it woudl show 400wh, plus motor was contributing 250 w these 2h, so the battery consumption would be 500wh. Totall energy for...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

One crazy idea came in my mind :) , would it be hard to implement human wh on the screen? I would find it really super interesting to see how much power in wh were used from battery and compare it to pedalling, particularly for longer trips :) p.s. Still on 14.3 but looking forward to test 16...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hey, first thanks for the great work on the project :bigthumb: Already drove quite a bit on my bike with the TSDZ2 and OpenSource firmware. With my 140kg and 1kwh battery (96 cells 2x 6s in series) can do ~ 70km which is very fine for me. On a lazy mode consuming ~500w when going on flat at...
