    Bafang M500/M600 thread

I have ordered an M600 motor on alibaba (g521.500). If you email most of the sellers it looks no one has stock of this motor at the minute, I have been quoted 25 days before they are in stock, so I just placed a partial deposit on one to secure it.

    Bafang M600 Motor mount

I am looking for a supplier for just the motor mount on the M600. I already built a bike around the G510 but want something lighter. It would be good to start this build without having to buy the whole motor. Does anyone know a supplier? Thanks

My Bafang Ultra commuter bike, started with an old frame and modified it. The full build is really rough but the bike hasn't skipped a beat..

    Bafang Ultra Discussion

My ultra has sport mode which makes a massive difference when climbing. I can cruise up hills that I would normally have to push up with.

Top Speed of Bafang Ultra vs. JuicedBikes CCX

I have the Ultra motor in my own frame. The gearing isn't massive - 44t front to 11t on the back in the biggest gear. If I pedal hard I can get the bike upto 32mph and at that point the only limiting factor is how fast my legs are spinning. If I fitted a 50t+ ring on the front I am confident...

    UK ebike law.

It's a fair question, and I more than accept having an accident is a risk but I really don't use the bike much differently to my normal road bike. But, averaging 20mph over a commute on 80% roads that are at least 40mph, I am always the slowest traffic. If I'm in a built up area or a slow road...

EM3ev, setting the record straight on a few things

I bought a battery from them last month as well and my experience was completely different. Any questions I asked were answered within 24 hours. The battery came in about 3 weeks total.....really pleased with it.

    UK ebike law.

I commute on a frame I made that is fitted with a g510 1000w motor in Sheffield UK, round trip is 32 miles. I fail to see how the current law could be enforced, the bike does not stand out, and it is not capable of silly speeds. The large motor mainly helps a lot on big hills, but on the...

    G510 Ultra additional menu access

I have thread few a lot of those and they all seem to say for most motors holding the + and - will do it, it just doesn't seem to on the G510 I have, it has me stumped and there doesnt appear to be a manual

    G510 Ultra additional menu access

I cannot for the life of my get into the menus, I have been trying by pressing and holding the +- buttons but it...

Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)

Hi, thanks for that write up, it's very helpful. I had presumed that the higher top speed on these would mostly hide over any resistance as well but it's good to confirm it. I need to finish this g510 frame I am making and then I'm pretty set on the m600 now for build number 2. I had been...

Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)

That would be great thanks, I think you are the first person I have seen with this motor. I totally get the parts support worries, I am in the process of building a frame for the g510 motor as a commuter/trail bike. Spare parts over here seem almost impossible to come by for these mid...

Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)

Hi, really interesting read. I have been looking at the M600 for a while, but it is almost impossible to find any bikes with one in the EU to test. Do you find that you can reach maximum speed with pedal assist quite easily? If so what is the motor like at this point? Does it decouple? Or do...
