Improving original firmware - TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

was there any luck with the KT-LCD8H ?was it given up on in favour for the 850C, or because the lack of memory? thanks

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

So.. since I stupidly modded my shunt, is there anyway to change the resistance value of it in the firmware? Or would the best thing for me to do would be to pick the hotglue off it and soldersuck off what I’ve done? Thanks

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Yea it won't work without the groundpin connected, I overlooked that at first as well, when I flashed mine

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I noticed the shunt on the controller is a thin piece of metal, if i picked the silicon off the top and stuck a small bit of solder onto it would this be any way beneficial? I'm sure this has been done, I couldn't find anything searching so thought I'd ask here

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I’m confused about these updated versions, is V0.50 the motor firmware and its newer than .20? Also, unsure what I do with the boot loader file for the 850c. Last time I flashed one I just used an rs232 adapter and I don’t remember doing anything with this boot loader file Thanks

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Not yet no..and I don't have that wire setup for throttle or temperature. Walk assist should at least work anyways right ? Starting to think the controllers fried

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

but the motor does not run, so I wouldnt see that data? also the motor doesnt turn even when setting up the automatic cadence, is this indicative of a problem? thanks

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

thank you. Yes in section 11 all variables show feedback. Advanced cadence calibration doesnt turn the wheel or anything either. I will play with it more with what you had suggested. thanks

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I’ve got no power to the motor regardless what I do..even after resetting to defaults I can’t get above 0W output. Does this sound like a bad controller? I did accidentally short some pins though blowing up the plug I’m hoping there are other potential things I can try before getting a...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Turns out I had forgot to zap strap the crank..no wonder :? I’ll do it when I get home and hopefully I’ll be able to achieve faster speeds. Thanks

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Yea with no load Just now I noticed it hits 32km/hr as if it gets to a speed limit wndvstops or something. I don't get that really high pitch sound that I would expect opening the throttle. Street mode is disabled, but I'll try this experimental mode. Thanks (Thinking about reflashing with v19...

TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

So I’ve gotten the new firmware running on my bike and I’ve figured out the interface on the lcd3 pretty well I think. But it seems the output as far as speed goes is either lacklustre or my expectations were too high (I was hoping for similar performance as my hubmotor bikes but not even close...

Bafang 850C color LCD, currently working for TSDZ2 motor -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

great thanks. Ive installed the 0.5 beta3 fw on it, and the v19 fw on my tsdw2, and I couldnt seem to get the motor turning. With the temp config on disabled I could see 0-255 feedback from the throttle, but when I selected throttle I'd get no response or activity from it. I had troubles with...

Bafang 850C color LCD, currently working for TSDZ2 motor -- Flexible OpenSource firmware

Hi there, I’ve got the motor flashed with 0.19 and the 850C flashed with 0.5 beta3. But I can’t seem to turn the motor. I get throttle 0-255 feedback but it isn’t enabled or something. Reading online I see that I should be able to enable it in the ‘motor configuration’ page, but it doesn’t...

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Doesn't seem likely possible as far (as I can tell) without the source files of the apk. So I'm just building the LCD3 pcb right into my phone mount and I'll run both at once this way to achieve button control 😁

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

I read further and realize I need a supported LCD. All good. One other thing though, do I hook the throttle or the torque sensor to X4? maybe because they're in parallel this doesn't matter?

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Thanks for your reply stancecoke What the worst that would happen if I tried a different king meter LCD that wasn't fully compatible? Would the LCD settings mess with the firmware? Or could I safely use it as a dummy display for speed and battery life, ignoring the rest? Thanks

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Is there anyway to use some kind of physical control switch for changing PAS levels with the android app, without an LCD3 or compatable dashboard connected? (Maybe with something like android's 'switch access'?) Thanks

KT motor controllers -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for BMSBattery S/Kunteng KT motor controllers (0.25kW up to 5kW)

Ok no worries. I have an hc-05 somewhere, might have lost it I have an hc-05 for a bms battery bms here as well, but I assume that's going to be the same deal. No worries I'll just order another hc-05 Thanks
