Saw an electric skateboard in Buenos Aires last week

Saw quite a few bikes down there, couple of choppers, but no e-bikes. I am delighted to note that our neighbors to the south have e-skateboard technology. Saw a dude cruising at around 15 miles an hour, on a busy street between the Ricoleta and Ritiro barrios, on an electrically powered...

DWI while driving a Lazy Boy?

Check this out: http://wtopnews.com/?nid=104&sid=1792014 I'm thinking 180 days is a bit steep. Sure, the dude did have a ton of booze, but he was driving a Lazyboy. I'm for rule of law and everything, but if anyone has a right to be above the law, it is a man who has built a motorized Lazyboy.

Radar Gun Sign and the eBike

For your Monday morning edification, I'd be remiss to not share this with the group. Labor Day weekend, the city was kind enough to leave a radar speed sign in front of my house. HnrFLI8lOVE Enjoy! Couple things: (1) Next time this happens, I'm going to have to clear my schedule and take a...

Saw an electric scooter leaving my favorite bar last night

No pics, not even sure what kind of scooter it was. White, small wheels (not a fold-up.) Looked to be a chain-drive, but again, he was going past my outdoor table at around 10 mph in the dark. Nothing too newsworthy, but this may in fact be the first electric vehicle (not driven by yours truly)...

    Physical Size of Vehicle Footprints

The Raleigh Cackalacka v1.0 (w/Youtube vids & pics)

Greetings everyone! As I built my e-bike last fall (just in time for short rainy gray days) posting this is probably long overdue. I got some fantastic ideas from the endless-sphere community; I need to go back through the threads to thank the scores of folks who had great advice. Since the sun...

Correct positioning of a front torque arm?

Hey gang- Quick question: what is the correct positioning of a set of front-fork mounted torque arms, in front or behind the fork? Does one want it to exert a pull force or a push force to counteract the force of the hub? Many thanks, Cackalaka

    Question about Clyte numbering schema

Noob question- I see many folks talking about Crystalite motors and referencing 403s and 5305s etc. What exactly do these numbers correspond to? Presumably the 5s > 4s; are there more coils, torque, current? What is the significance of the numbering schema? Many thanks, Cackalacka
