escooter - which to buy (LC 200kg)

I'm going to go ahead and say that it does not exist despite some advertisements ... there are not a lot of scooters which can take an effective 200 kg load for starters let alone lug that around for 60km. I would not buy any of the ones shown above for half that weight. Look for something else...

Mercane WideWheel dual motor 2019 rebuild

A lot of work there for a widewheel but guess that this one was about the journey ... an ya did an amazing work by the looks of it. Congrats and don't forget to show some shots of her finished and also curious about how it rides compared to a stock one.

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

That sure sounds promising. Thanks for the feedback. Kind of a cool post to read in the Holliday season ... the build plans of the Extremo ... that sounds really interesting. Have any system in mind such as selling them, just making them available for download, make the design open source with...

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

Hey BigBlock, As the season comes to an end, just curious if you had a bit more time to ride and if you could share more details in how she handles ... if you have any plans for follow up or if this was just a one off.

    Speed record with scooter requirements?

It's a small world indeed and it's nice to e-meet the king of battery porn. Absolutely love your builds.

    Speed record with scooter requirements?

Could that customer be based in Tel-Aviv ? Either way for the speed it might be worth looking at fitting some 13" tires in the 6.5 hubs or use the DTX motor/hub/tire combo which would give you increase speed per RPM.

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

Seems like it is more of a permanent system which can be partially disassembled so I can fold ... rather than a folding mechanism. This is such a better option for my use case at least.

BTW, looking at the pictures again it looks like you put the tires on the wrong direction.

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

Impressive work. One the one hand it looks narrower than the Vostok but that might be only in the pictures because the battery looks small in that deck. It’s a beauty either way and great to hear that it handles so well. For the brake system, two pistons will indeed heat up quite fast. The MT5...

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

Really nice to see this vision becoming reality. Thanks for sharing. This is really impressive from conception to execution .... I wish we had a scooter design as an open source project where people could contribute as per their skill and tastes.

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

It really looks superbe and hope that it handles as well but as far as we can tell now it's clear that you have absolutely nailed the goad of the Vostok inspired design couple with a much simpler mechanical design. Fascinating project to follow.

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

You always have the option to design the column to include the controllers, particularly for if you are using some Nucular 12F which are relatively small and that has the added bonus of providing more cooling and letting the battery breath a bit. Am sure you considered 21700 batteries so will...

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

If this is the one that comes from the Aliexpress "FLJ Official Store" then I saw a couple guys use it on a Thunder build with the same 20s10p (40T), AntBMS 300A so that would be 150A peak they are throwing at it BUT with phase cables upgraded to 12AWG high temp silicone ones and one when to...

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

Thie air shock I gonna use are designed for MTB that have ususally a leverage of 2:1 - 3:1 - to get a 150mm wheel stroke on such short wheelbase you have to reach 5:1 ratio that requires a very stiff shock (high pressure on air chamber). When using two air shocks you can let them work at...

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

It's not really an either / or situation. A high powered scooter allows you to do things that you can't do with a bike or motorcycle particularly in cities or urban settings. For having tried a variety of different options, I have to say that the scooter is what works best with me and love to go...

EXTREMO - Scratch built 7kW billet frame scooter

Its not often that we get something this exciting in the scooter category. :bigthumb: The influence of the Vostok is clearly there and I think you did a great job of simplifying some of it’s over engineered aspects. I really hope we all get to see this one come to life and am glad to support...

Rwd dual motor hub+inrunner chain drive 8kw capable.

Sorry no thread on any, most of this is in the "Minimotors Club Dualtron & Speedway" Facebook group and some in the "High Performance PEV" one but the mod I described in your other thread ... a thunder with a 20s10P which can push out 300A is now the standard for the higher end performance mod...

Rwd dual motor hub+inrunner chain drive 8kw capable.

OK get your idea and like the determination there but not sure I see the point. I've ran stock Dualtron hubs from 40A/60v to 60A/72V some have gone to 72V/140A with only phase wire upgrade (and hall sensors) and that might be an easier way to achieve the increased output goal but have a feeling...

Rwd dual motor hub+inrunner chain drive 8kw capable.

It seems to me that you are describing is the concept of the "Quad" kit developed for the Hunter M1. In effect it consists of assembling two hub motors together to form a large rim on which they fit 13" tires. The resulting "wheel" has two motors, each power by its own controller making the two...

Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

I have a pair of 6F working in a dual setup. Added hall sensors and replaced the generic middle of the run controllers and it’s a whole new thing. But it’s my first controller. I am new at this and wonder. What makes the Nucular controllers so good. Hadrware ? Software ? And how is a 12F...

    I Don't Get It ?

I can’t say I ever did a 100 km ride but a lot of rides between 40 and 60 and it’s something that you have to try and it can’t really be explained. Over 100km I have to wonder as well but its pretty much a lifestyle in the Philippines and Korea where they are organised in “pulling teams” and go...
