    Right if he is running it without the halls it will vibrate but usually at speeds < 10 mph. These controllers that come with the kits are terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if the circuit that uses the hall sensors broke and it switched to sensorless

    Voilamart front hub motor normal?

    I have two of these Voilamart motors. Make sure the controller is plugged in. They aren't the smoothest motors. There is always going to be a bit of cogging no matter what you do.

    Check the rim too, I had a voilamart kit and the rim separated. Their rims really suck.

    My experience with chinese controllers is awful. Whatever you do don't ever touch any of the wires together. MAke sure you tape all connectors you aren't using. I second the air flow idea. You need to get that thing in the open air.

    Well I road the bike a little bit. Sometimes I can feel the motor cog or get a little jerky at high speeds in sensorless mode. IT's kind of scary.     Well...? I got the motor running foward. The halls no longer work. I had to switch the phase wires G to Y. ITS RUNS in sensorless mode only. Can I damage the motor this way?

    There is no grind ing in my case running sensorless, after switching phase wires. Am I at risk of burning up my motor? No grinding, just normal sensorless noises.
