Still big scooting in San Jose.

How do you have the controllers set up? I thought I saw dual throttles. I have two fardriver controllers that arrived last night - barely looked at them. I know they have canbus, but I don't know of that means they can be set up as master/slave or not. Worst case for me would just be to split...

Flipsky 75100 sensor detection fail help

I'm not sure exactly what effect it has, but I know the motor R/I/F will change on subsequent detection iterations presumably due to heat. Do with that what you will. I'm still trying to tune mine to get rid of cogging and improve range.

QSMOTOR,0.5-12kW Electric Hub Motor & Mid Drive Motor Manufacture China

The problem is that there are no price breaks on shipping for loads under a half container. I don't know how many 205's a half container will hold, but I would venture to say it would satisfy the US market for the foreseeable future - good luck organizing a group buy of that size. Add to that...

    Compression of pouch cells, info/data

The modules currently shipping include the inter cell frames - but not the big heavy casing for the whole pack. I'll use the frames with studs and nuts with end plates for compression, then build a case to provide rigidity, space for the bms etc. Are there any published or derived specs on the...

    Compression of pouch cells, info/data

I've heard that having the cells designed to be under compression, actually under compression mitigates that to a certain extent. I have no idea. But pouch cells are not all the same, and I've seen these dead shorted and they puffed, but did not catch fire. We shall see.

Spot Welding Copper Strips to 18650 Battery Cells

So...I was thinking about the core task to be performed in making the parallel and series connections. And it's not welding, soldering or any particular technology. It's making a low resistance, chemically stable, vibration resistant connection by whatever means works. So I thought of a...

"Copper/nickel sandwich" buses for series connections

Noob question - are the caps on lithium cells the same material and thickness as standard alkaline cells? I want to do some practice runs with one or more sandwich/slit techniques and a brick of AA's would be cheap to use as dummy cells as long as it's a valid test.
