Not sure what this means
I have a prebuilt bike with UART M400 bafang middrive motor. It's about 3y old with about 8kkm driven, 48v 250w motor.
Suddenly last week, the assist intermittently cuts off. It can work like a charm for 10km and then be off for next 10km, or it can do this every 100m. Sometimes when it doesn't work, the speedometer doesn't work either.
Since I've been hearing a noise-that-doesn't-belong-to-the-engine I thought maybe it was the paw-clutch or the torque sensor and I tore the engine down. It's filled with gravel but I can't see anything particularly wrong with the clutch or the torque sensor. If I had to pick which one is broken, it'd be the torque sensor.

What I want to know is your thoughts, what's broken?

In the attached picture if you take a look at my elite photoshop skills, you'll see what appears to be a broken washer and some residue of electric burnage.
