Hi all!
Looking for advice in hooking up a leaf motor to a rear axle and powering it up.
Motor is a ZE1 2023 Leaf EM57 motor. Looking to hook it up to the rear axle input of a 2001 Mazda tribute (badge engineered Ford Escape).
Phase 1 goal is to use the motor as a boost motor.
Phase 2 goal is to keep the engine as a decoupled range extender.
For now I'm looking to get just the motor.
1st question : is that a wise move in terms of future considerations on how to power it?
Or should I get the PDM and inverter as well?
Noob here so go easy on me for any seemingly dumb questions.
T.I.A,
Kevin
