Holes, vents, and fins were added to draw air through the motor. It works like a centrifugal fan, as the motor spins, a partial vacuum is created behind the fins, which pulls air out of the slots. The idea was originally implemented by JohnInCR, there should be a thread on it somewhere. Should be capable of 40kW. Has a 28t 428 sprocket bolted onto the brake flange for use as a middrive.
The motor requires 2x 3 phase controllers, and the 2 sets of halls share the same 5v and gnd lines.
