In an effort to save time and quality, I'm starting with the Enertion K1 Kit. http://www.enertionboards.com/buy-diy-enertion-kits-build-your-own-eboard-electric-skateboard/enertion-propulsion-k1-build-longboard-electric-skateboard/

Other necessary parts are the board, electronics, tools and enclosure.

I have a pretty tight budget at $800, all in.

The K1 kit is 387 + 75 shipping. That leaves a mere 338.

I'll probably buy their tool kit as well. $320 left.

I found a nice deck for $80 shipped. https://www.warehouseskateboards.com/globe-drop-down-geminon-yellow-black-longboard-skateboard-deck-9x41

$240 left.

2 50mm NTM motors cost $100 shipped.

$140 left.

100A HKing ESCs are another $100 shipped.

$40 left.

Wifi Reciever $20 (I'll find an old Android device)
4.5Ah 6s Lifepo4 $80
Accucel 6 and PSU, $60

I'm $120 over budget, and the battery is half the size I'd like and I don't have any sort of enclosure.

Is there a cheaper place to get trucks and wheels compatible with the K1 kit? Also, is a WiFi controller alright?

Thanks

Enertion definitely has a great high quality kit that's very flashy. I highly recommend them as well. Service is great :)

I'm not merely trying to press this upon you just showing you the differences.

DIYElectricSkateboard.com (my website) a similar kit but Dual Diagonal for $299 + $20 Shipping. Trucks, wheels, etc included. Less flashy/pretty but mounts are welded on and as durable as they come. Saves a bit in pricing but not a whole lot. I can waive shipping.

Save about $162 which pays for your ESC's and 1 Motor.

LiPo isn't bad as well and would get you more distance by attaching a second board.

I can also throw in an ABS enclosure which you can strap on with velcro straps similar to this build here http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=58611&start=75#p951986

Good luck on your build. Hopefully, you can get it at your price.
