Thanks, but I think you'd get quicker and cheaper results with a local guy. It's one thing to spend 4 hours or more tinkering and custom fitting parts on my own stuff, but if I have to charge an hourly rate, I'm just not competitive. I'd end up doubling the cost of your motor, sorry.

I did it myself, I have a lathe and a mill. The steel shaft is held in by a circlip on both ends, so it can be removed from the rotor, it is a pretty light press fit. I got the shaft out of mine out without removing the rotor from the motor,...with only minor difficulties.

Yes, the forks are crap, but you can swap in any 1-1/8" steerer fork (as long as it the steerer is long enough). And the cx frame has room for batteries (though it is heavy). Unfortunately the rear swingarm is kinda short. Search for the "farfle swingarm" not sure if they're still available...

I agree the eastgem frame has potential. I'm watching your build to see how nicely the bht fits. The eastgem carbon fiber frame looks very nice as well, but not so easy to cleanly mount a mid-direct drive...

Draw a straight line from rear wheel center to front wheel center and I think you'll see it's not much lower(if at all) than the Vector or whatever you're comparing it to.

I'm sure they meant "carbon steel" not carbon fiber. You can clearly see welds on the swingarm.
