400 watt hours sounds about right for what you did today. Going 24 mph you could get a range of 30-35 miles throttle only. Ive been wrong before but that's just my 2 cents

You would need a controller to handle the increased voltage. If you wanted to up the voltage you would put the two batteries with a series connection and and amount of ah wouldn't matter be better if it was the same. If put into a parallel connection it would need to be the same chemistry so it...

Really the only way to increase speed is to up the voltage.

Wow I just saw the white goo coming out of capacitor. So I can just detach both the fuse and capacitor from bottom of board via solder and put new replacements in?

Yeah I accidentally put the charger to the output of the battery and the pop. Hopefully its just the fuse here.

I'm trying to do the same thing for a trolling motor. On ebay there's a 48v to 12v 30amp converter. I'm pretty sure this would work but I have know idea what kind of range it would get. Let me know of you come up with somthing

Yescomusa motors are legitimate. Only thing you have to look for are loose spokes.

So if I put 4-5 diodes in parallel on the positive wire of each 48v 10 ah battery should I be ok and not worry of one battery charging the other?
