Yup, I pretty much have to change all the connectors. I am going to Andersons because they have 5.5 mm bullet connectors and all the paralleling stuff I have for 6s is 4 mm. But I have been using the Anderson power distribution blocks and they make for a clean look. thanks again guys...
I am building a new twin motor bike. I really wanted the extra cell as opposed to 6s, it should push the voltage closer to the e-bike kits limit. I really want to do some off-roading. So I ordered 10 7s 5000 mAh Zippy Compact packs. They don't show the balance wires in the pictures but I assumed...
I need a good off-road bike that folds because I am getting a sailboat and want something to go anywhere once I hit land. I fell in love with the Land Rover folding bike so I ordered a bare frame and am building this one ground up. I am partly cannibalizing the Sun Atlas. I have two e-bike kit...
I been on the road...had some trials and tribulations so we are just using it as a support vehicle. The front forks are tough, comparable with the Surly Instigator fork. Very straight fork with no rake but tough. I will post pics of the completed project this evening. Long live the Sphere...
My next priority was to stain and varnish those running boards. I used spar varnish because it doesn't yellow in the sun like polyurethane. I just happened to be stainin a bunch of ceiling very dark so the material was free. Also notice the Avid 200mm bb7 disc brakes, they work fine with the...
Dogman your my hero man. When I first got into e-biking I saw your signature that said 4500 miles ridden and I was jealous  and couldn't wait to log that many miles. Now I am well over 50.000 miles and have built a bunch of bikes but you still remain my hero for this epic build. I do a...
I hope I am not overposting or something but I am just trying to show how the build in order so if someone wants to use the idea. xtracycle running boards are 150 bucks. my next thing was to figure out what wood to use. I looked at different stuff but in the end white oak stain grade 1/2 inch...
Ya dogman I thought 6 amp would be good. what I did for now is use my icharger to charge both halves in parallel. That way I can get a good balance on them. Almost didn't bring the icharger. Thanks I was in a panic.
So my next move was to build running boards so I could mount motorcycle hard panniers for my batteries. I have never truly been able to lock and waterproof my batteries on other bikes. I didn't want xtracycle running boards anybody can get those. I was looking for an old vintage motorcycle feel...
I am out on the road with the new Atlas (pics in the build thread). I had 25 Ah of battery but right before I left I sold 10 Ah to a friend that really needed it (disabled vet). I have a 9 amp Ping charger that I was using to quick charge the 25 Ah, I gave my Soneil 3.5 to my friend also. Side...
