You could use Dynamat. It reduces vibrations dramatically so would reduce the noise produced by the enclosure.

They have? Where? Outside of mountain bike trails which are a small segment of places to ride, it looks like all the laws treat Class 1 and Class 2 bikes equally.

FWIW, one reason I like Orange Seal for tubeless over Stans is they provide a handy applicator tip for squirting it directly in through the valve. I had a monkeyed up homemade thing, that always leaked or fell off just when I needed it not to. I keep the small bottle and buy the bigger refills...

If you guys are having rusting problems, get some fully stainless bearings, they aren't that expensive and it beats replacing them all the time.

Since the ht1000 is the everything bike, it certainly needs rack and as many bottle cage mounts as possible for hauling things while commuting. Either 29 or 27+ wheel compatible too. I'm not a big fan of internal cable routing, it looks clean, but can be a real pain to thread new housing.

You could have Shapeways print some in stainless to test.....

Huh. I'd never think that could happen. You might check how much your wheel is flexing in a turn, I've had bicycle wheels flex enough to rub even when they look to have plenty of clearance. Spokes might be loose, or just not a sturdy enough build.

The Frey is a better designed bike anyway FWIW.

I'd be careful riding in a designated wilderness area that close to the road, some ranger will pop you.....
