    E-S LMX 64 Bike Owners

You could use Dynamat. It reduces vibrations dramatically so would reduce the noise produced by the enclosure.

    Lines erased E-Bike / E-Scooter / E Motorcycle

They have? Where? Outside of mountain bike trails which are a small segment of places to ride, it looks like all the laws treat Class 1 and Class 2 bikes equally.

Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)

FWIW, one reason I like Orange Seal for tubeless over Stans is they provide a handy applicator tip for squirting it directly in through the valve. I had a monkeyed up homemade thing, that always leaked or fell off just when I needed it not to. I keep the small bottle and buy the bigger refills...

    SURRON LB: RESEARCH & DEVELOPEMENT

If you guys are having rusting problems, get some fully stainless bearings, they aren't that expensive and it beats replacing them all the time.

My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

Since the ht1000 is the everything bike, it certainly needs rack and as many bottle cage mounts as possible for hauling things while commuting. Either 29 or 27+ wheel compatible too. I'm not a big fan of internal cable routing, it looks clean, but can be a real pain to thread new housing.

Anyone use Dirt Labs or Mad Suspension for shock tuning?

I've used Dirt Labs, they're great.

Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Huh. I'd never think that could happen. You might check how much your wheel is flexing in a turn, I've had bicycle wheels flex enough to rub even when they look to have plenty of clearance. Spokes might be loose, or just not a sturdy enough build.

E-bike restricted trail access and hate

I have both types of bells, one of these, which is really great because like a bear bell, you can turn it off when you're not in a place where you'll see other people, but when it's on, you don't have to take your fingers off the bar to ring it, it's brainless. https://www.mtbbell.com/ And...

Idaho legislators eyeing 2018 ebike proposal

They are entirely pushed by the bike industry, People For Bikes is behind all the Class 1-3 legislation. They took the European laws and combined them with the US federal laws to come up with it. Their goal is to get all 50 states under the same laws, one by one...

Rear wheel not centered, is that a problem?

You might get enough wheel flex if you ride hard to get it to rub, but yeah, either the dishing is off, or the swingarm is. A dishing tool is pretty cheap to buy or easy to make. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqkw9fkUBUM

I'm not sure if you already mentioned it, since I was skimming the thread, you might have, but why did you go with V brakes instead of discs?

    What's the point of 1000+W ebikes ?

I always find it amusing that there is such a refusal to admit that even though it has pedals, a high powered ebike is no longer a bicycle, it's really identicle to an electric moped. The end result is really the same, you can ride it anywhere since no one pays attention or gives a crap, but to...

    Steepest Grades

There are free clinometer apps for your phone you can use to check the grade, road signs are often not very accurate and it can be fun to see how close your estimates are to reality. It's rare to see steep grades in the US since many or most roads are relatively recent and engineered for cars...

What will it take to make ebikes, More mainstream ?

The total cost of owning and using a car and owning and using an ebike comparison are the same as those using a bike, which has been promoted for decades. I'm not arguing that it isn't true, but only the smallest fraction of one percent of the population choose to use a bike over a car and I...

Ever met an unfriendly ebiker in the field?

I haven't met many unfriendly people on 2 wheels in my lifetime, but unfortunately, they are out there and there isn't an azzhole filter that works.

What will it take to make ebikes, More mainstream ?

The same reason people won't ride bikes also applies to ebikes and in the US, the reasons not to for most people far, far outweigh the reasons to. Why would you ride an ebike? Its fun It's cheaper than driving It's quicker than drving Ownership is cheaper than a car It's better for the planet...
