Are you saying that is the way they work and others just don't know they take days to balance with a bms ?
Do they take days to balance the pack ?
If not then something is wrong with the setup ?
With the pack or bms or the way it was connected ?
How do you adjust the lvc for lipo ?
My Hyperion only stays in balance mode for a few mins and gets them within 8 thousands of a volt and that is for homemade A123 packs. ( it says 3 but the fluke says about 8 )
How long does this bms normally take to balance ?
And how do you adjust the lvc for lipo ?
Does the pack balance ok with a rc balance charger ?
That would be the correct tool to charge with.
And leaving them on charge for 4 days ?
Did you get ideas like this from reading es ?
What is your LVC set to ?
I have never seen them this low before.

With the good service I have had with A123m1 cells from 2006 I am thinking these could last as long as Windows 7 ? (2020) :)
Maybe longer ?
They last so long the price per ride is so low ? :)
No doubt you could get those A123s to catch fire too ? I bet you could get sla to burn too ? Because many after rusty cells become rusty with water to short out in the rain ?
Cheapest would be a pack made with recycled makita cells from Doctorbass ?

What will your LVC be set to ?
I put little 5 amp inline fuses on the balance leads on the packs I build.
I don't ever use the balance leads to charge. Just balance and sense the voltage.
Some complain the Hyperion will read an error and shut down too quick.
It is so picky about sense wire connections.
