    Hall Sensors'b'Gone

I see, the average based on one phase cycle give almost I/5 of I_phase = I_battery! BTW I got code and components for bldc sensorless from atmel (AVR444), I will publish some results here. Thank you so much, to be continued ;)

    Hall Sensors'b'Gone

thank you for enlightening my mind ;) I'm in the dark with this subect. Can I ask you (one) more thing, what is the best schematic for sensing current, one, two, three sensors? And how the software must summarise the current value of N sensors?? BTW, It seems you are an expert in controller...

Yes, I use the brakes of the bicycle to simulate heavy load (see the post on top)...

    Hall Sensors'b'Gone

Regarding the current measure on the battery since my last graph. I got a "current meter" to measure the right value directly on the phase. I was not expecting any good news, but I was curious to know the "duty cycle amplification factor". See the picture: Unfortunately I got the same...

    Hall Sensors'b'Gone

I ordered 10mOhm resistor to measure the "buck convertor" effect on phase. I'm not expecting any good result ;) About the time resolution of my plot, it's 5s.

Waw, awesome! I'm a newbie about motor controller and your post explains to me a long term question: What is the relation between the battery and phase current? Thank you so much for your answer ;) Maybe you can answer another question. I have a castle icehv 40 controller pluged to my 250W HUB...

@incrémented, If you want, I can help to draw the eagle board. Btw, Do you think it can be imp. with an arduino pro mini board? Olivier

Best 250W HUB motor (small, light & freewheeling)

I got motor and controller here http://www.h9.com.cn/ The motor is a tongxin (200W for 83mm fork) and the controller is the LSW70A (max 250W 14A).I choose the tongxin for the freewheeling. I will also try the bafang (from 8fun) if I can find one for 83mm fork. olivier

    controller issue for custom usage

I got motor and controller here http://www.h9.com.cn/ The motor is a tongxin (200W for 83mm fork) and the controller is the LSW70A (max 250W 14A).I choose the tongxin for the freewheeling. I will also try the bafang (from 8fun) if I can find one for 83mm fork. Just one question, why there is...

    Hall Sensors'b'Gone

Awesome! Great job ;) I'm thinking to build my own controller for low power (max 20A) sensorless bldc motor. I need a very very small size. I think I can adapt your board with smd and smaller cap (if I'm not wrong). Will you share the source code and eagle files ?

    controller issue for custom usage

indeed, it was the issue. So it's the "Weakness lock (SW)" input on the controller. I think It help to put a lock and avoid the high current on ignition. Yep! Thank you so much nieles!

    controller issue for custom usage

Hi All, I got the micro controller LSW70A and I would like to use it with a custom display and throttle. I started the simplest way, I've connected the battery, the motor and the throttle signal (0 .. 3,3V). Nothing happened except a red led blinking (500ms). Then I tryed to remove the...

do you like this kind of electric bicycle kit

Thank you all for your feedback, it's really appreciated ;) So it seems that 250W really sucks! Many of you gave me the same issue, 250w is useless for the hill. It's a hill issue? To be sure that I understand well, what kind of hills are you talking about? My city is almost flat, hill are...

do you like this kind of electric bicycle kit

Are you the man of cummuterbooster? huge respect for your work, I read your website and I'm impress by your work! Except the legal issue, the problem with your motor is the type of battery that needs much more than 2C. For 250W HUB motor, I have 14Apeak limitation with 10S2P of panasonic. 300W...

do you like this kind of electric bicycle kit

Yep, the panasonic NCR18650A has 3.1Ah for 2C, you get about 253Wh/kg that is pretty good but only for 250W max (12A peak) This is a good question, battery is an issue, but wire sucks also. I did some basic math and with a good power management the button could live more then 2Years. To...
