Great looking bike, I have looked at building one of these myself so it is good to see your results. I'm attempting to collect some info on the differences between the C-Lyte 406 and the BD36 motors. You seem to have some first hand experience of both. Are you willing to answer a question or two?

Thanks for the reply! I will do some more poking around about the C-lyte 406 comparison. I have not seen that style of BOB trailer before, only the ones with the metal platform. Do you have any pictures of the underside and your modifcation sequence? There are a couple of the commercial rigs...

Hi Rassy I don't wish to hijack B's thread, but I am interested in your trailer build project and asked a Q about the motor in your thread in the Photos & Vids section. Perhaps we could carry on this dialogue over there :wink:

That would be great Y :D Since, I already have a 36V battery pack I would be interested in how that compares to 48V if I understand your intentions. Did you comment somewhere that it is possible to convert a front hub to a rear by changing the side cover, or did I misunderstand?

I too would recommend the Thudbuster. Check out ebay for possible deals. Are you going to try a 406 on the front? Selfish interest :oops: on my part , or can you extrapolate from the 404?

Hi Jozzer; You seem to have figured out the safe but exciting parameters for the Puma. Are the details documented anywhere? IE something like 60V max, X-lyte 40A 72V controller with X fets mod. etc.... Seems that the specs are being worked out for the rest of us who are less adventursome. I...

Dee So is this what Knoxie was referring to awhile back when he suggested that the Puma was best run at 60V? Or is it strictly the 55V BMS components within your battery pack? Like yourself I have been away from all of the e-bike stuff for awhile ;-) Too busy riding my new pedal only bikes :D
