New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

With regards to the incorrect speed, I noticed that the "magnet" field in the display settings was set to "02". Should have been set to "01" as there is only one magnet provided for the speed sensor (didn't know you could have more than one). The speed seems to be more accurate now. Might be a...

    Utah bike helmet law

Is it not somewhat detrimental to your skull to dismount your ebike unexpectedly at 30+ kph? We're not casually riding our step through push bikes through Amsterdam. Ebikes riders need helmets in Ontario, Canada too. The bike helmet manufacturers are living high on the hog here as well. Not...

New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I was finally able to try out this motor today for first time. It works real smooth, rides really nice. It shuts off and on immediately when you start and stop pedaling, very nice. Ordered an xh 18 display paired with 36V bottle battery , 18A continuous discharge current (NCR18650PF) I did...

    Suggestions for bottle cage relocator?

Need to move mounting points for a bottle battery on the downtube. I can only mount it with the pointy part of the bottle down (towards the BB) atm, no room to mount it the other way. Any suggestions where to order one inexpensively? I'm in Canada.

Can you draw power from charging connector on bottle battery

Simple question, can I run my lights or anything else from the AC charging port on my bottle/dolphin battery? Can I do same from a soft triangle battery pack? If so, is a fuse recommended/necessary between the battery and load (lights)?

What is best ebike lighting available?

This looks promising, wide beam, wires directly 9-85V: http://www.banggood.com/DC9-85V-20W-2000lm-Motorcycle-LED-Hung-out-Headlight-With-USB-Charger-Lamp-p-1095321.html Anyone try this? Here is a cheap ($3) tail light, up to 80V, can also use as daytime blinker for front...

Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

I have the phase runner set up with a 9C rear motor (i think with the lowest winding for a big wheel) running sensorless. Ran the auto set up (set it to 9 KV and 23 poles) and the wheel spins up nicely with no load. If I sit on the bike and push the throttle at a standstill, there is a lot of...

What is best ebike lighting available?

Any issues with the luna cyclops (http://lunacycle.com/extras/lights/luna-cycle-cyclops-led-light/) brightness, beam pattern, durability? Are they the same as similar looking chinese lights (ebay/gearbest, alie x, bangood etc...). Its plug and play for under 72V. If its truly 1k lumen, two of...

Motor axle, depth in drop outs

Thanks for clear picture! Yes I thought of a washer too but thought there may be a greater than zero chance of a safety issue, I just got a180mm mount adapter from my LBS, I can prolly exchange for a 183mm or 185mm for no more money, so that would add about an additional 1.5 (like the washer...

Motor axle, depth in drop outs

New picture added to the link above. Looks like the rotor is actually sitting too deep into the caliper, it almost touches the bottom (the bike is upside down so its actually almost touching the top of the brake pad spacing in the caliper). I'm thinking that's too slim of a space for any flex...

Motor axle, depth in drop outs

I am wondering how deep into the dropouts should the rear hub motor axle sit? I have attached pictures below of what mine look like after doing some filling. Are they deep enough? https://1drv.ms/f/s!AloGliTn6xHyynocIfeTS-eYireU
