Best dual suspension bike for a bbs01/2

I've got a 750w BBS on a 2006 Kona Dawg, works very well with a triangle battery from EM3EV.

    Horizontal thumb throttle

They are a good quality unit, I bought one from EM3EV which had the correct plug to suit the BBS02, works much better than the supplied one that came with the kit.

    Haibike crazy price

I recently had a friend who is a keen motorcyclist try out my 2006 Kona Dawg fitted with a Bafang BBS02 48v/750w and an Afline 8 speed IGH and he was blown away with how well it rode and actually went. In its day it was a very expensive bike which cost about $3k here in Oz, plus the IGH plus the...

Coming back to the Ebike sport.

48v/750w BBS02 from EM3EV with the 22P 12ah triangle battery is what I fitted to my Kona Dawg. Works really well in real life and I'm very happy with it, really is a low powered motorbike will do over 50kph with 48t front chainwheel. The 48t is a bit high for steep off road stuff so ordered a...

    EM3EV

I too have had very good service from Paul and Moon. bought a BBS02 48v/750w and triangular battery, took a few weeks to be assembled and posted and arrived well packed. They sent me emails when it was sent and a couple of days later the tracking details. I let them know when it arrived and...

Running a 750W BBS02 through a nexus or Rolhoff hub?

I'm running an 8 speed Alfine hub with no problems, don't have the brake switches as the brakes on the bike are hydro's. Just stop pedaling as you would normally when changing gears and it works fine. If using the throttle just back off, change cogs and get back on it, works fine.

How can I charge my E-bike useing a inverter

I charge my EM3EV 52v pack with the supplied charger off our motorhome with no problems, it is a PSW 1800w inverter backed up by a 400ah lithium battery bank and 500w of solar though.

    New Bafang Crank-Drives

I have a BBs02 750/48v fitted to a full suspension Kona Dawg with an Alfine rear IGH, the chain line is pretty much at the limit. The Bafang came with a 48t cog which in slow off road stuff is too high, works well on the road though ;-)). I bought one of those 104 adapters and while it fits ok...

    New Bafang Crank-Drives

Beachcruiser I'm running a BBS02 750w in a Kona Dawg with hydraulic brakes and as yet don't have any brake switches. The brakes can easily pull the bike up. I have a EM3EV 12.3 ah 22p triangle pack and it works well. I replaced the supplied thumb throttle with a better quality one from Lectric...

    EM3EV charger switch voltage?

I too have the same charger and 14S battery from EM3EV, the first time i charged the battery it was fine but on the second charge the charger didn't work, no leds, no sign of voltage ore anything, dead. Paul is sending a replacement. I opened it up the other day to see if anything looked wrong...

    New Bafang Crank-Drives

Hardly noticeable pedalling with it turned off compared to standard setup. I'll be doing a bit for a while as the charger "just let the smoke out" on its second use!!! so no way to charger the battery now. Have emailed Paul so just have to wait until it is replaced.

    Bafang/8fun BBS01/02 spare parts

I made a four prong socket from a piece of 30mm ID square steel tube with an 8mm bolt screwed into the tube at the midpoint of the sides. filed the ends of the 8mm bolts sown to 6mm square to fit into the lugs. Finished off with a piece of steel across the back with 3/8 square hole to take a 3/8...

    New Bafang Crank-Drives

Mine was set up the same when it arrived from EM3EV. Read the owners manual and you can change the number of PAS settings up to nine from the display. The "stutter" is normal I think but it smooths out as you get the gearing right. Mine also came with a 48t cog which seems a bit high gearing...

    Programming the Bafang Middrive BBS01+BBS02

Yes I know but I had the camera in my hand ;-))

    Programming the Bafang Middrive BBS01+BBS02

I've just fitted a BBS02 750w with 961 display and a 12ah battery from EM3EV. I've only ridden it once as the bike I've fitted it to has no brakes at the moment. The latest versions can indeed use the software in the link at the start of this thread, It took me two different USB/TTL doovers to...
