I've got a 750w BBS on a 2006 Kona Dawg, works very well with a triangle battery from EM3EV.

They are a good quality unit, I bought one from EM3EV which had the correct plug to suit the BBS02, works much better than the supplied one that came with the kit.

I'm running an 8 speed Alfine hub with no problems, don't have the brake switches as the brakes on the bike are hydro's. Just stop pedaling as you would normally when changing gears and it works fine. If using the throttle just back off, change cogs and get back on it, works fine.

I charge my EM3EV 52v pack with the supplied charger off our motorhome with no problems, it is a PSW 1800w inverter backed up by a 400ah lithium battery bank and 500w of solar though.

Hardly noticeable pedalling with it turned off compared to standard setup. I'll be doing a bit for a while as the charger "just let the smoke out" on its second use!!! so no way to charger the battery now. Have emailed Paul so just have to wait until it is replaced.
