A number of people have started running 18-2.75's on their radwagon cargo ebikes as a replacement for the stock 22x3.0's which are experiencing sidewall failures

Definitely go with polyax nipples, the head is shaped like a ball joint and gives alot more angle as the spoke leaves the rim bed
You may want to drill the holes out about 0.5mm larger to allow the nipple to seat deeper and give the spoke more room to move
Here's a sur-ron rear wheel i did 3x...
I couldn't get the throttle to run right when running it through the CA3, not many people can
I ran it directly to the controller on my infineon and modded the throttle min/max range mechanically with resistors and it's perfect
Puzzling that people upgrade to ASI and yet still have throttle lag problems
Let's say you quickly rip the throttle from 0% to 50% or more, still 1 sec lag or instant?
Wow
I had the total opposite experience with this seller
Got a great deal on a domino throttle, shipped out almost immediately and would have received it within 2 weeks had it not spent a month in customs
You can grease sealed bearings just pick off the seal
My motor covers had 1 good bearing and 1 shit bearing that had alot of resistance when i tried to spin it, which improved alot after i repacked it with proper grease
Probably a mxus 3k lightened to about 8kg on a lathe would be my go to
Id lace it to 22" rims and run 22x2.5 tires, I can't stand the weight of heavy hub wheels
Maybe an obvious response but why not just get an 18 fet infineon or something?
Or better yet stretch your budget and get an foc controller, these old trap controllers are not really efficient

There are these @ 33mm/40mm
I think cyklonebike uses them on their ebikes you might be able to get them there
