He's back in the news. This time involving alleged government corruption. A minor issue imo, but as there are so many hot button issues in the BC public and private sectors it could blow up.

    A123 AMP20M1HD-A Battery pack kit

I blew up two 3010 ichargers a while back. Haven't figured out why. I had dozen's of previously successful charge cycles on the a123's. I was also charging a lipo on a normal power brick charger too at the same time, and lost the bms in the battery. Nothing to do with your kit agniusm, I just...

    A123 AMP20M1HD-A Battery pack kit

My first set of boards are no good. My holes were too close to the edges, and the nuts would obscure the slots too, as Agnisium suggested. I also masked the traces by mistake. I went with oshpark's thinner boards with heavier copper too. Which I will also not do again. Likely won't use...

    A123 AMP20M1HD-A Battery pack kit

Thanks. It was super nice for you to share the files. I thought I had thought it through, but maybe not. lol. The holes are 6.35mm. Nut overhang is 0.5mm. Not sure what the slots are. But I didn't think to measure. I was sidetracked with creating an acceptable gerber. I ended up deleting...

    A123 AMP20M1HD-A Battery pack kit

I modified agniusm's 4s design for my purposes. The idea is to use broaching nuts. KFS2-832 specifically. https://www.pemnet.com/fastening_products/pdf/kdata.pdf So the holes have been widened out for the nuts. Additionally I have widened out and adjusted the traces, and increased the board...

Thanks. Had already talked myself out of it anyways, but appreciate your taking the time to show me the alixpress version. I've been away from ebikes for a bit, so have much to learn. I purchased a new battery the other day, so will be riding my old 700cc soon. Hurt myself on it years back, so...

A different approach to battery management...

Hi fechter, I appreciate your checking. I'm not home, but I think the board is a 4.07a version. I think I'm ok re: the schematic, as there is one available in the "Charge Controller 4.0.7 to 4.0.7b Change Document". Actually, if you could post or PM the schematic, that would be appreciated...

Does anyone have a copy of the "Charge Controller Assembly-Test Instructions-v4.0.7" file that they could post? I can't seem to view the pdf properly on the one found in this message thread. Only the first page is visible.
