IGORDON Bike shop. Is this site a scam?

Saw these bikes advertised for very low prices. Anyone purchase from a internet company called IGORDAN. I emailed and phoned but no reply. But received a strange text in French which is odd since their physical location is Houston Texas. Anyone purchase bikes from IGORDON? It sounds too...

Radpower phasing out direct drive motors?

My initial comment was Radpower discontinuing direct drive hub ebikes. They offer plenty of geared hub motor ebikes but no longer direct drive systems. I prefer direct drive especially with reg braking, prefer higher end power and smoother deceleration reginerative braking offers. Also...

Radpower phasing out direct drive motors?

I also own a geared hub motor ebike, the Elux. Elux very comfortable on designated bike lanes. But I prefer my Radcity direct drive for commuting and heavy traffic. Radcity feels more solid; appreciate higher end power and quiet run. The Elux is comfortable but quality not up to...

Radpower phasing out direct drive motors?

Confirmed with Radpower yesterday, yep they're discontinuing their Radcity direct drive series. Bummer, they're decent bikes for fair price. And now getting replacement parts will be harder. I'm not seeing too many bikes with direct drive motors, guess industry moving toward mid drive bikes.

Radpower phasing out direct drive motors?

I own an old Radpower Radcity. Very satisfied with it and I prefer direct drive power and Reg braking. Radpower recently reduced their Radcity 4 bikes by 600 bucks. Now out of stock and "won't be restocking". Anyone know if they're phasing out direct drive motors? Thanks. And sorry I...

Radcity 2019 Rear Fender eroded wire causing error message

Issue resolved! No error message and bike running well. Radpower was out of stock fender/integrated wire. I found the right wire on Amazon. Unplugged the old wire and installed new wire. Blue 4 pin connector, easier than expected. Tomorrow pick up some zip ties and black electrical tape...

Radcity 2019 Rear Fender eroded wire causing error message

My 2019 Radcity stopped working, error message 25. Error kept activating Reg Braking. Called Radpower tech support, it's an erroded wire that travels along the fender to the rear light. I need to replace the rear fender/ wire connection. They've been out of stock for about 3 weeks...

    12 magnet cadence sensor Radpower

I own a 2016 Radpower Radcity. PAS kept cutting out, same spot each rotation. Cadet Sensor missing magnets and cracked. I emailed Radpower, waiting for response. Incase they're out of replacements. Where can I purchase replacement sensor? And not sure how the sensor broke, never abused...

    Michelin airless tires

Another flat, biking home from the gym and hit with another flat. I bike about 2000 miles a season and flats are a bane to the sport, probably because ebikes/bikers are forced to ride in the gutter with all it's detritus. I always carry a can of Fix a Flat, sometimes works and sometimes...

    New battery or new bike?

Thanks for your advice. I'm 200 lbs, usually power at max level and live in Hilly Vermont. I'm sure all those factors will beat any battery.

    New battery or new bike?

There aren't many supplies of "dolphin" style batteries. The batteries go for about 600 but shipping/handling and charger adds another 100 plus bucks . I might be able to get a cheaper replacement from RADPOWER but prefer 52 and higher amps than the original battery...

    New battery or new bike?

My Radcity has almost 3500 miles and I'm on my second battery. Runs well but battery aging. New 52 volt 14 amp battery is almost 700 bucks including shipping and charger. A new Radcity bike is $1499.00. My bike rides well, no issues but maybe it makes more sense to buy a new bike rather...

    Ebike vs Escooter

150 miles and still going strong. I'm thoroughly enjoying my escooter. It's no replacement for my ebike but really getting a kick out of it. Today, round trip ride from Northampton to Amherst then buzzed around town; roughly a 20 mile trip, average speed about 20 mph and used about 20% of the...

    Ebike vs Escooter

I'm really enjoying my escooter. And it fits nicely in my back seat, I'll take it on vacation. I love my ebikes but the scooter is portable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AcxFSuu8E0

    Ebike vs Escooter

The Speedway is very smooth, responsive and agile. Start Speed, Start mode, Electric braking and cruise control are easily programmed. The Speedway has large 10" pneumatic wheels and adjustable front and rear hydraulic suspension. It's very smooth running. I picked the Speedway because of...

    Ebike vs Escooter

You're right, physics plays a big role with stopping. My ebikes are about 72 inches long, the escooter is 48 inches long, so stopping is very different. But compared to most escooters especially the rental share ones, the Speedway is larger and wider. The first couple of runs I kept the speed...

    Ebike vs Escooter

Ebike vs Escooter. I'm an ebiker with 10 years on the road, logging about 2000 miles a season. Escooters have been making news lately, generating considerable buzz. I decided to give Escooters a try. I purchased the Speedway IV from EWheels, company boasts good customer service and stocks...

    Bikes Balls, Grab a pair

Tasteless but hilarious. Yeah, only when you think you've seen it all. Yep, balls for your bikes. $7.99 on Amazon. " Bike Balls naturally bob-around while you ride, boosting your visibility and safety in a hilarious way." And rather realistic, one hangs lower than the other. LOL...

eWheels Speedway IV Pro scooter: any reviews?

I broke down and purchased the eWheels Speedway IV scooter. First impressions: well built and solid with plenty of power and programming options. Riding is easier than expected. I'm an avid ebiker but never rode a stand up scooter or even a skate board but within minutes felt very comfortable...

    Scooter on Norwottuck rail trail

I'm thinking of purchasing the Speedway IV Pro scooter but worried I can't use it on a rail trail. I'm an avid ebiker and no issues with rail trail use but my ebike resembles a regular bike. Escooters aren't stealth, can't fly under the radar. Any advice appreciated. Thanks...

Front basket. Handlebar vs frame attached.

Recently purchased front baskets for my Radcity and Elux Newport. I've been using panniers but wanted to redistribute weight. The Elux required handlebar attachment, Wald basket fit like a charm. Cost only 25 bucks and installed in less than 20 minutes. I bought the Yuba breadbasket for the...

    Elux LCD Display Power Meter

I purchased a new display from Elux, easily swapped out and bike OK. Display wasn't cheap, $125 plus shipping. There must be other suppliers? Any suggestions? Thanks. http://bigstone-nj.com/node/10

    Elux LCD Display Power Meter

My Elux Newport bike died. I think it's the LCD power meter. Batteries OK, screen was flashing when caught in heavy downpour. Yep, there was water in the meter. Anyone know the name of this meter? I've contacted the company and waiting for response...
