    Magnetic field detection / measurement

I'm enjoying my Google Nexus 4, $350 unlocked, awesome screen, and very fast pocket computer. It would be nice if it had a removable SD card, but it's not really necessary. I used scissors to cut down my sim card from my HTC Legend (a very slow android phone, with a buggy touchscreen design).

I just read on the TERA message board Lock pulled out his feeding tube on the 18th, and the nurses fed him. Sounds like good news.

Ebike Project 72V HS3540 UK "build thread" +Videos!

My HS3540 smelled burnt for the first couple of weeks of 18S Lipo use, with the CA set for 30A. Usual trip data shows an average speed of 35-50 kmh, the max speed is always 72 kmh. 782 total km on this motor so far.

    DIY Aptera knockoff?

I was not happy to read these "rules" from the Motor Tricycles FAQ on the Ontario Ministry Of Transportation website: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/vehicle/emerging/motortricycles_faq.shtml It appears the "rules" are written to include the BRP Can-Am Spyder and exclude anything else...

    Building process E-Freeride bike

I ran at 54kmh with the 48V 15Ah ping and a 9C 2806, with the CA current limit at 25 amps, but acceleration was slow and hills required high speed or lots of pedaling. With the HT3540 I get 1kmh per volt, presently running 18S 15Ah zippy Lipo at 30A. Much more fun, and safer in traffic. I am not...

    Building process E-Freeride bike

I like that bike. I noticed the bike is on a train, and there is a little sign with a drawing of a bike mounted on the wall. Is there a way to secure the bike to the train during travel? There is a light rail transit project being discussed for my city, I hope it will accommodate bikes. The...

    Cyclone Catapult.

I assume the pedals were rotating under power from the cyclone since the front freewheel jammed, and they threw him up in the air.

    PaulD's Race Bike Give-Away

This bike would help get customers into an ebike store, and help the image of the other ebikes in the store. This would be a place for others to view the bike until the ES electric vehicle museum is opened. If I had the bike that's what I would do, in addition to racing it in any race I could...

*WANTED* technical support 4 design production EU Citybike!

As I understand it, The Netherlands are very flat, so a front wheel may be adequate (but with a very dangerous failure mode), but where I live the poor traction would make it an unsuitable choice. Are these "80% electric bikes" factory built, or are they conversions where someone else is...

    DIY ebike Chargers

I've been thinking of building a portable charger, that design route looks promising. Would it be possible to add power factor correction to this design? Intersil has a new chip out that they are calling a cell balancing system. http://premier.intersil.com/auto/EV_HEV.asp I have to get some...

    duff ping charger

I made a hole in the heatsink, there is a large open area on the pcb directly below so there is good airflow. My charger ran extremely hot, I was concerned about the long term effects on the electrolytic caps, xmfr insulation etc. It runs cool now. My wires shorted right at the exit from the...

    duff ping charger

The output wires on my ping charger shorted where they exit the charger. The very soft inner insulation in the wire was the cause. I replaced the wires with longer and stronger wires and it it works fine. While I had mine apart to replace the wires I removed the little fan, taped off that...
