    Well i think that concludes this thread then. Dont give Leaderhobby any of your $$$ as its throwing it away. I must admit im not surprised given the insane prices they are charging for stuff, but i guess you never know until someone / or some people play guinneypig and order a sample.

    I have an 8 speed freewheel on my HS3540, i didnt have to stretch the frame (it first but perfectly, no free space at all on my stock 135mm dropouts), i did need an aditional washer but thats it. Been working for about 1800 miles now :)

    Hmm, being yellow i would of thought they were TS, GBS cells are usually a light blue/green colour. What is the weight of the 12V 60AH pack without any cabling. is it 9.2KG? If its closer to 10KG then its TS... i think GBS has about a 10% better energy density than TS.

    Hey, @ 2.75c discharge 10v of sag i would say is very normal. As for the cycle life. they are reated for 3000 cycles at 0.5c discharge.. or 20amps discharge. You are discharging 5x that fast at peak.. i would immagine therefore that your predicted cycle life would be somewhere in the 500-800...

    Thats true, but that is the equivelent of a dead short, which will give a test of burst discharge BUT will have negative effect on the cell if it is used to test capacity, and also with that you are unable to choose the C rating to which you discharge at, so will be unable to see how it performs...

    I have read that the saturation point of the stator is around 10KW but anything over 2-3KW (depending on ambient temps) will need to be thermally monitored to prevent overheating. 5KW will definately need monitoring as others have cooked the windings on less power than that.
